Since it's lent and we don't eat meat on Fridays im trying to come up with some more meatless meal ideas. What kind of fish do your kids eat and how do you prepare it? My kids will eat this almond crusted flounder that they have at our grocery store, its got a similarity to breaded chicken so they like it. But we've tried salmon before and they wouldn't eat it. They tend to be your typical picky toddlers. I hate making 2 meals so I'm trying to come up with new ideas.
Re: Do your kids eat fish?
I make parmesan crusted tilapia and DD loves it! It's super easy to make too, Prep and all it's ready in about 25 mins. Here's the recipe I use:

This is my favorite recipe for Tilapia - I haven't tried it with DS yet but DH will eat it and he usually hates all fish. It is so quick and easy too.

Also, one a week, we do a simple baked fish with a wedge of lemon, rice and peas. It varies week to week but my five year old usually eats it and my toddler had recently been trying it more. We like turbot.
Also, they both eat shrimp. I make a saffron rice and shrimp dish that the gobble up.
You can also just do vegetarian meals on Fridays - cheese pizza, meatless pasta dishes, salads, etc. My DS loves all sorts of beans so sometimes we have vegetarian chili.

Beautiful baby girl born 11.24.14
Daycare feeds them lightly breaded white fish of some sort and apparently he loves that too. The rest of the kids don't really like it and apparently he'll have the uneaten seconds of the other kids as his 3rd and 4th servings.
LO loves fried whiting (fry it in the cast-iron skillet), salmon (broiled), fish sticks and oven baked tilapia.
My lil guy has tried salmon but nothing else. I want him to really like fish so I'm going to try tilapia!!
If you are looking for a great lenten meal I made these last week (w/o the salsa) and they were awesome
