Possibly TMI, but what's the longest you've gone without having sex?

I'm currently going through IUI and my Doctor's advised me not to have sex from the beginning of my IUI right through until I do a pregnancy test, two weeks after my final IUI. And I'm already gagging for it, to be perfectly honest. I have a friends with benefits thing going on with a very good friend of mine, and he keeps on asking for sex, and I'm like YESSS but I can't. And he's getting pissy about it, because he doesn't know I'm TTC.

I don't know how I'm going to survive another two and a bit weeks.

So, I was wondering how long you've went without having sex? Before now, it was probably only about 5 days, for me.

i hate you. i hate you so much. my bf and i havent had sex since last may since his libido has dropped form weight gain(he quite smoking and gained about 15-20 pounds between that and leaving the marines last january) plus we didnt see each other for a few months because of his work scheduale. so its been almost a year since we've done the dirty.

@MinnesotaMonna91 Bloody hell, how are you even still alive? Has he not looked at getting some medication for that? If he was my bf, I'd probably force him too. But then again, I've had a higher libido than about 70% of the men I've dated.

i guess our relationship just isnt about the sex anymore. When we dated at 18/21 our relationship was all about sex. we couldnt get each other naked fast enough. now that we have two kids between the two of us our libidos have slowed considerably.

I'd rather he not be on a medication. hes looking into natural aphrodisiacs cause we agree a year without sex is to long. last time we tried we were just about to get hot and heavy my son woke up. we've joked around we need to just wake up at two in the morning to do the dance with no pants.

i dont either, im assuming he thinks hes being funny because im bisexual. i usually just roll my eyes and tell him hes the only one i WANT to do the deed with because i think he says it because he's expressed insecurity in his body.

i no longer feel the need to hook up outside of a relationship. that kind of went out the window when i got pregnant. before my xh i was still hooking up with an ex randomly because it was just sex to me and i wanted to have it. Looking back while it was just sex to me it wasnt 'just sex to him' he thought that we'd eventually get back together and it actually hurt him pretty bad when i told him i had started dating xh.

unfortunatly, i also made the mistake of drinking while i was extremley vulnerable. my xh and i didnt have a healthy active sex life because of his drinking, drug use, and his 'other women'. bd was there, he was attractive, and i was very drunk, we'd started doing tequila shots at two in the afternoon and had drank a bottle and a half of vodka by ten that evening.

Once bentley came, sex really stopped being sex. I dont want random partners in and out of his life. I have a bf who loves him and cares for him very much and thats worth more then having sex everyday.

Are you serious? I've gone years without. It's not that big of a deal. The longer you go without the less you think about it. And if there were a medical reason for not doing it then I'd definitely not be doing it. Tell you FWB to grow up and have some respect for you. You'll most definitly survive.

I'm definitely not going to have sex until after I'm allowed to, but three weeks is a long time not to have sex when I've been having sex at least every five days for the past 14 and a bit years, you have to admit.

@beccaga16 Yeah, I mean, as a single woman with no responsibilities other than what I need or want, I'm quite happy to admit that I'm quite the slut. I like sex, so shoot me. But I would never in a million years have a child and continue with that lifestyle.

I don't think FWB will be terribly bothered about me being pregnant, but if he is, I don't really care. I don't imagine it'll be too hard to find someone to have sex with.

Also, most of us have a hard time finding time or energy for sex. Bf and i are both single parents, we have intimacy outside of sex and thats whats important.

When I was pregnant, I was single from 2mo to 7mo. And BF and I did decide to try it out about a week before I delivered, but I can't remember why exactly it didn't happen. And then it was "well, I guess we can wait another 6 weeks, right?"

I had very little sex drive with bentley actually... after being on my feet all day at school i just hurt. I was lucky with bf hed give me foot rubs and back rubs even though his back is worse then mine.

Its going to be a long time before i have another baby.
