I think we might be weaning faster than expected. Right before I got pregnant I noticed Alexis was nursing differently. She would suddenly push the side she was nursing on away. It wasn't till I got the positive pregnancy test that I realized why. Last night she woke up in the middle of the night to nurse and I offered it to her and she pushed away and started screaming. I tried the other side and again she pushed away and screamed. Nothing would calm her down. After a while she decided she finally wanted it and went back to sleep. This is going to be tough because she still likes to nurse multiple times a day and nursing is usually the only way I can get her to sleep.

    She takes sippy cups, but she refuses at bed time. She only wants to nurse at night.

    I have no advice except to ditto what @RVASC811 said, I'm sorry you have to wean earlier than you thought.  I weaned DS this past weekend (when he turned 16m) but it was the morning session that was the last to go.  I was ready to wean but I am still feeling a bit sad about it.  DS didn't seem to find anything amiss.

    H works nights so I'm alone to put her to bed. I tried once to have h give her a sippy cup before bed once when he was home, but she knew I was home and wouldn't calm down till mom nursed. I think she would be fine if I wasn't home because she does fine with naps for h, but when I'm home she won't go to sleep without nursing.

    Ds1 did this when I first got pg with ds2. He eventually got used to it. I heard it tastes different. And kept nursing until I ran out of milk at 4 mo the along. So maybe she will adapt.
