Sebastian Gus was born tues 3-11-14 at 7 am weighing 6lbs 5oz and 19 in long. I was 38wks 3 days when he made his grand entrance and I'm so glad he came early!

Birth story - super long sorry.
So those wives tales about natural induction worked for me! Sunday late morning DH and I had a little sexy time and I had a cup of red raspberry green leaf tea followed by a 20 min walk on the treadmill ( I thought it was weird that I had such a strange amount of energy that day since I had only had 4 hours of sleep the night before) I started slowly losing my mucous plug that day.
That night I started getting some mild cramps that continued til the next morning. Didn't want to get my hopes too high but I was very excited. The waves of cramps continued all day Monday at work and I was confident they were contractions and hoped this turned into full on labor. They were no longer than 15 min apart but not too timeable throughout the day.
I got home from work and DH and I went for a walk ... 30 seconds into the walk my water broke! It really was like I peed my pants. The water just kept coming my pants were soaked! This was at 645 on on Monday night.
I called the midwife and started timing contractions. They were about 7 min apart and 1 min long and after a couple hours laboring at home we went into the hospital (the hospital I was planning on going to was full! Had a slight moment of panic but I got over it quick and went with plan B which I really didn't even have I just had to do it)
I got to the hospital and the contractions were hurting really bad. She checked my cervix and I was 4-5 cm thank God! I labored in the bed for a while crushing my husbands fingers with every contractions. After a little while I moved onto the birthing ball for a while which was fine didn't do that much for me. But it was good to switch positions I think.
Next I labored for a while in the tub. This was a nice break the contractions slowed to 7 min apart. I was actually able to nap in between my contractions. I don't know how. It was just Sooo painful it was my only escape. I just kept telling myself to get through the next contraction. They were only a minute long and I knew I would get a few minutes rest/break once it passed.
At about 4am I moved back on the bed She checked me at this point and I was a 7-8. I knew I could do it I was getting close!
things sped up. The contractions were more like 3 min apart and hurt soo bad.The baby's heart rate started dropping with my contractions so the MW said she didn't want to do the water birth. That was fine with me I really did not want to move!
There was a shift change and a new MW came on she was great. I started pushing right about when she got there about 5am and I pushed for the next 2 until our baby finally arrived.
The pushing was so difficult but I knew I was so close and DH kept saying we were going to meet our baby soon and I knew I just had to do this! Everyone was so encouraging and the baby was coming slowly but surely with each push. I kept asking if I was close and how many more pushes. Finally, at 7am 12 hours after my water broke I pushed with all my might and was so relieved to feel the baby come out-sunny side up to all of our surprise! Maybe I was having back labor the whole time. I don't even know it just hurt.
DH told me that we had a boy and I was just in shock that it was over. I think I just kept saying "I did it, it's over" I had minimal tearing and only had a few stitches in a good spot I guess.
I'm so so happy to have our little angel with us and we are home now. ( if I had to get my vitals checked one more time I was going to kill someone) He is an absolute joy. Breast feeding is going great my milk came in today and the size of my boobs is astonishing! Lol. I can't stop staring at him. I Love him so much!
