  I like Jacob a lot and I like TJ, but "Trace" isn't actually a name, is it?  Why would he want to do that?

  IMO depends on where you live... here in NJ it wouldn't fly - but in the south i think it would be nice.  The only Trace I have ever heard of is Trace Atkins- so i automatically think of country music (which i like) but is not common here in NJ :0)

  I went to camp in h.s. and my counselor's name was Trace. He was a hottie.

   

  I didn't care that his name was different.

  I thought of the country singer too when I saw your post.

  Personally, I don't like Trace, but love Jacob.  I do like TJ for a nn.

  TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages. Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.

  I like the name Trace but I think Trace is often a nickname for a boy with the same name as his grandfather and father. Ex: Jacob John Doe the third, but everyone would call him Trace. I can think of two guys off the top of my head that go by Trace but it is really just a nickname.
