A BOY! I was right! My husband was certain this babe would be a girl, but out came little Foster Lewis! All boy at 7lbs 3ozs and 20 inches long.
Long story:
I went in for cytotec last night (Tuesday) at 39 weeks. I was 2cm and about 70% effaced. After a night of crampy contractions 2-3 minutes apart the nurse started pitocin at 5am and I was checked at 6:30 in the morning and still was only 2cm but had made it to about 85%. The doc broke my water then. About 8 I decided I'd love to have an epidural and was given one quickly! Right after getting the epidural my nurse checked me at 3cm (about 8:30am). I felt great after the epi and figured I'd have a long day ahead of me! The nurse let me rest for a couple hours or so then checked me at 11 am and I was 4cm. Just a few minutes later I felt more pressure and she checked me at 6cm. She said she was going to grab a couple things for another patient and be back shortly to check me again. At 11:40 I was complete and my doc was almost there! I pushed through 4 contractions and had my little boy at 11:57 am!
