My LO is 6 weeks old and early on I had oversupply because I was pumping after every feed. I had started this under the suggestion of nurses, pedi and LCs in the hospital to supplement to help with his jaundice. I didn't know to stop this until I had major oversupply and over 100 oz in the freezer and running out if space. I donated most of that to make space. Now a friend of mine has asked if I plan to donate more because if so she'd like it. Her LO is about 3 weeks and she is bf'ing and pumping to build her own stash for her return to work but doesn't pump enough and wants to avoid supplementing with formula.
Since getting my supply under control, I've only been pumping once a day if that for my own supply. Is there a good way to add pumping sessions without throwing myself back into oversupply? I was thinking just pumping the side he doesn't eat from a couple times a day?
