Anybody have VERY few symptoms?

I'm into my sixth week now, and the only symptoms I'm experiencing are mild cramps (which have actually subsided), sore nipples, and little breast twinges from time to time. This is my first, so it's all very new to me. I know it's a common worry, but I'm absolutely terrified of showing up for my doctor's appointment for my first appointment at eight weeks and seeing that there's a problem. I think it stems from two things: 1) My mom had a lot of difficulty getting pregnant, and 2) I'm an ER nurse, so all I typically see is negative pregnancy outcomes.

Anybody else have few symptoms and have a successful pregnancy?

  • Perfectly normal and okay to have no symptoms. This is pregnancy #3 for me, I've never had many symptoms. With DS, I felt pretty much normal the entire time. I've never had nausea or food aversions while pregnant.

  • I have very few symptoms as well!! I'm hoping everything is okay. I found out on Saturday, and have taken 5 more tests since. I know its early, I'm 4 weeks 5 days according to my lmp.

  • Yeah, the first few months are the worst. Even with no reason to think otherwise it's so hard not to worry. With my daughter, I very clearly remember sitting in the room at my first obgyn appointment fighting back tears because I had myself convinced that they were going to tell me I was no longer pregnant. It was crazy and everything was fine. It's just so, so hard not to worry!

Just try and think positive, be happy you're avoiding all of the unpleasant early symptoms so far! Soon your little one will make his/her presence known! That's when the fun really begins. :)

  • It's good to hear others are experiencing this! This baby will be number three for us, I just don't ever remember not feeling pregnant with either of my girls. Every pregnancy is different, so it makes sense that even now this early on things would be different.

  • I have very little symptoms also, I'm 6w3d. I'm finding it really hard to accept that I'm actually pregnant. I'm hoping for a big sigh of relief on Friday when I have my u/s. I think the fact it took us over a year plus fertility treatment to get pregnant is making me over paranoid.

It's good knowing that this is a pretty common feeling to experience. And common sense tells me that, but there's so much that still goes through my head. @MindyandRyan, that is a GREAT mantra!

  • I swear there are days I forget that I am pregnant. I am 6 weeks 3 days. We go to the doctor on Monday and I am terrified that he will tell me I am not pregnant.
  • Very few symptoms here and I barely had any with my first son.

  • My last pregnancy I had very few symptoms. I never had morning sickness. The only real symptom I had was sore breasts.

    This question again??

You're fine. Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. Enjoy no symptoms while it lasts!

  • I'm having no symptoms as well. Please do some research or read down further. Most women don't get any symptoms until weeks 6-8. It's going to be an extremely long 9 months if the same questions are asked over and over.
  • Thanks, guys. Really appreciate your sentiment.

  • This is my third pregnancy with no symptoms.  Let's consider ourselves lucky :)
  • Thanks to everyone for the genuine comments. Just gotta take one day at a time! First-timers tend to get a little more nervous, I'm suspecting. Thanks again. :)

  • I've had some bloating and mild, sporadic RLP but nothing else.  With DS I had some early breast sensitivity and mild nausea if I didn't eat often enough.  My first pregnancy was wholly uneventful and I have no family history of pregnancy complications so I'm not too concerned.  I'm counting my blessings and hoping this holds out! :)

Absolutely zero symptoms right now (boobs hurt a bit but they always do). It's my first as well. I'm about 2ish weeks pregnant. I felt crampy a couple of days ago when I first found out but nothing now!

You're 4 weeks, not 2. The first week is your period, end of 2nd week is when you ovulate. (Based on the "average" 28 day cycle.) So no one is ever really 1-2 weeks pregnant. You get BFP at about 4 weeks pregnant, which is really just 2 weeks after conception.

@abbyful ....I am so confused! I ovulated on Feb. 24th, would this not make me 2 weeks and 3 days pregnant??

You are 2 weeks "pregnant" when you ovulate, they count starting from the day your period starts. When sperm meets egg, that's at the end of the 2nd week.

It's so nice to hear a similar story. I am a day behind you and we got pregnant with Femara. All I have had is mild cramping which has subsided and a little bit of sore boobs. Ultrasound Monday at the fertility Dr. Good luck to you....let me know how it goes! I can't wait till Monday. So nervous and excited.
  • I wish I had fewer symptoms! I could definitely pass on the nausea and spotting.

  • Congrats!
  • I thought I would be someone who would have lots of nausea but instead it's going the other direction if you know what I mean. I guess it's better than the alternative. I haven't heard of anyone having that symptom...
  • Don't worry!  When I had my first, which was a very healthy pregnancy, I had NO symptoms...at all.  I'm sure everything is fine :)

  • Now I've gone to having zero appetite. I literally have to make myself eat breakfast (egg whites and raspberries), and then I just kind of have a few healthy things throughout the day (like chicken with avocado). And that's pretty much it.
