Late Term and Child Loss

Sorry I have been MIA (rainbow mentioned)

Hello Ladies! I have been MIA for awhile. I have been lurking and posting periodically but not often. It has been 2 years and almost 6 months since we lost Sydney and I can tell you it gets easier but it still stings too. I attend 2 loss groups and faithfully go to all of them, not really for me anymore but to support new ladies who attend. I know their pain and I feel I can help them see that after 2 years I am still functioning and going through my day to day life. I miss my baby girl so much. As my rainbow grows it makes it tough to think she should be in the terrible 2's.

Thinking of you all. I am always here if anyone needs me!! Huge hugs!!

Heather

  • So nice to see an update from you! At almost two years out myself, I agree that it does get easier, but the pain is still there. It's just different than it was in the beginning.

Thanks for always offering support. I wish there had been someone like you, someone further out from their loss, in my support group. I think that would have helped.

  • Thanks for the reminder that life will eventually have a "new normal". Sometimes it's nice to see that others have been able to heal, at least a little bit. I know things will never be the same again (and I wouldn't want them to because that would be forgetting our little girl), but it's reassuring to know that you can "make it out the other side". My words are pretty clumsy right now, but I hope that you can understand the feeling/meaning behind them.
