I'm sure that during the holiday season isn't the best time to page someone... But if you are here:
I have some questions about your nursery. I fell in love with it when you showed pictures a while back. I am hoping to do something similar with stars (although different colors) so I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about it and perhaps share your pictures once more.
These are the questions I have, but I will take any other tips you have, too!
-What paint finish did you use for the walls?
-Where did you buy your wooden stars?
-What did you use to stick the stars to each other?
-What did you use to stick the stars to the wall?
Thank you! ![]()
Re: *****eyenerd***** (RP)
Hey there!
Sorry that i have been MIA lately.....i am planning a surprise party for DH today and things have been hectic with the holidays!
Thanks for the compliments!
For the walls i used benjamin moore Dessert Tan...one stripe in gloss the other in matte. I used an accent sage color (i can't remember the name) but on the yellow it came out more blue than green.
I bought my wooden stars off the internet somewhere. I can't remember off hand, but if i come across it i will let you know. I basically googled wooden stars and searched the first few sites.
In my blog i have a slideshow of the nursery. I think i still have a link at the bottom of my siggy.
Good luck!!!! my email is eyenerd at comcast.net if you have anymore ???? Don't hesitate to ask.
I anticipate things slowing down a little for me and being able to nest more in the next few weeks!
To stick the stars to the walls and each other i used a sticky putty. They sell it in craft stores. It usually comes in a square strip and you just roll it in a ball and stick it. It is commonly used to tack posters to the walls, etc. So far it has worked great and they have stayed in place.
Thank you so much! I probably will stick to just one color/finish for the wall color. DH and I aren't so fond of painting rooms, so we definitely don't need to add stripes to the mix!
I will be saving your email address, so don't be surprised if you hear from me!
