We finally got some great weather! Don't flame me- I let DD try out my mom's garage sale trike in our driveway without a helmet. Daddy was ready to catch if she fell, but I'm definitely heading to the store today to pick out a helmet with her.
DS was one of the models for our photographers spring mini sessions. She sent me the proof of a couple on Friday. Sorry it's small! He looks like a little boy not a toddler. (
@pokedot, it was seriously so easy, I did it over 2 nap times. First day I just frog taped the wall in whatever wacky pattern I could, then the next day I painted...I did all the dark pinks first, then the light pinks and then filled in with the blue. There's just 3 or 4 tiny green squares and those I actually glittered. :-)
All in all it took me roughly 6 hours with taping, painting and then removing the paint and hanging the shelving stuff. :-)
Frog tape is seriously the greatest stuff ever. They have an actual kit for painting lines and stripes that comes with a sealer that was super easy to use and really made a huge difference.

Love it! I actually have a feature wall in our living room that I put glitter paint it. So subtle. Well I love it but don't have a single place to use it! Its awesome!
My laundry helper. This is one of Maya's favorite things. She throws all the clean laundry on the floor, picks it back up, stands at the end of the basket and falls backwards. Toddlers are SO helpful .

Wait. You can actually buy GLITTER PAINT?!
I painted the wall, mod podge'd the section then blew glitter onto it in a matching color. :-) I've never told my DH that's how I did it. He'd cry if he thought about glitter being embedded into our carpet for the next 100 years.

It's an additive you can buy. They sell it at Menards and I know you're in Wisconsin so you'd have one near by. I think it's $6.97 for a small bag. Bag equals 1 gallon. It's pretty neat. It's subtle though. I like it to give some dimension to our wall. The wall is huge (2 stories) so when the light hits it adds a little something extra. They have silver, gold and maybe irridescent? I got the silver but it takes on the color of the paint kind of too!
@watercolor5 I will post a no helmet picture too. I put him in his helmet but if he is crying to get it off, I take it off. James is old enough to know he has to wear it but Leo doesn't really understand that yet so I just try every time and hope for the best. He falls off his bike sometimes but he goes so slow there is no way for him to get hurt.
Also, it cracks me up that he sits on the bar and not the seat.
And James in the middle of the toy store aisle. He had to play with every single train set.
@hmp1 wow, is that a 2-wheeler? Leo's way of biking looks like a great work-out! DD still can't reach the pedals or the ground on the trike, so there's really no way to pick up speed- I might make the rule to be wearing a helmet any time she can leave the driveway, though if she wears it with no problem, I'll just put it on her every time.
When Sophia goes through the toy aisle, she points at everything and says "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!"... wants to take the whole aisle home.
