Medela small breastshield still too big?

So I ordered the size small breast shield after checking their wbesite to see how it should fit. I just got it and... even the small is too big! They don't make any smaller sizes so im not sure what to do. When I pump part of the areola (a lot) geys pulled into the tunnel. I have a call in with a LC but figured maybe someone here will have a suggestion...

What should I do?

I get betweeb 2 abd 4 oz depending on how long since nursing. On the left sidw I get less than my righr and it hurts - like rhe inside of my breast is being yanked out.

I use small size as well and it doesn't just cover the nipple but as PPs said, it works well this way plus I also think your body changes. I just started pumping exclusively during the day as I get ready to return to work and I noticed that I can almost move up to the next size.
