  It's my sisters birthday on at Patricks day.. We'll probably take a cute photo of her and send it.. Maybe Skype her. Then I'll drink beer

  We tend to stay home and avoid St. Patty's Day like the plague because it's a total PITA around here (and neither of us has any Irish ancestry whatsoever).  There is a massive St. Patty's Day parade that passes 1 block from our house.  Parking is a nightmare all weekend because you can't park on the parade route (one year we spent 45 minutes looking for a space and couldn't find one and another year when we had a space, our car was parked in until 7 pm on Sunday), everyone is hammered and throwing beer cans/bottles everywhere (including in our yard), and the parade was a total let-down the year I went.  Bah humbug!

  We will celebrate in his honor (his name is Patrick!) Green outfit, corn beef cook-off with the family, and some naughty little leprechauns come visit our house.

  They leave footprints behind... They have turned the milk green, drawn on our framed pictures, TPed the playroom, flipped over furniture. It's all in good fun. My 5 year old is determined to catch one this year! He comes up with some outlandish ideas. Yesterday he spent the afternoon making gold coins to use as bait. Super cute- I think they will show up tonight:-)

  Pre babies st. Patricks day was my absolute fav! Now I still love it, it's just much different but we will be wearing green going to the parade eating corned beef and drinking some Guinness I'll just probably have to pass on the Jameson shots
