WTF Wednesday

1) WTF me for forgetting to put the cap on the blender when I made my smoothie this morning. What a mess!

2) WTF mom and pop gas station that I always go to because they pump your gas for you but charge the self serve price. This morning in the middle of a semi-snow storm no attendants on duty so I had to pump gas in a blizzard. Then I had to feel bad when I went in to pay for being disgruntled as the owner (picture your kind grandfather) was so apologetic as his staff did not come to work on time.

3) WTF dog who peed all over the house this morning....and it happened after I left so DH who is NOT a dog person had to clean it up

4) WTF weather....stop snowing already!!!!! Yes I know I live in Canada but come on eh!

WTF weather!!! Yesterday DS and I went for a bike ride in beautiful weather (it was 40). This morning I wake up to crazy wind, lots of snow, what sounds like freezing rain, and a snow emergency warning for my county. Ugh!

That's a definite WTF, and also deserves a good side eye and judgement. Holy shit. O.o

Right? And she's telling this to the single parent who is with that child every single day. Yep, kids can be annoying. But they are also AMAZING. Too bad she can't appreciate DD for the wonderful kid she is.

Wow! I can't believe your mom said that to you. That definitely deserves a WTF...and a cancellation of your dinner plans with her.

I would cancel, except that the dinner plans are with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins who I haven't seen in years and I'd like to see them. If it weren't for that, those plans would be cancelled faster than I could hit send on the email.

WTF boss...yes I get that it's an Ultra Red day...we all get it! But did you really need to bring up me being a parent during my performance review? I can't and won't work 12 hour days! The only person who thinks I don't work enough is you and you hate kids and people with kids!

O.o I'm not sure that he can legally factor in your being a parent into a performance review. I'm no lawyer but that just doesn't seem right...

I have another WTF. WTF pants i bought three pair of the same size and same brand of pants. In navy, black, and khaki. The navy and khaki fit great but the black pair is snug.... REALLY how does this happen?!

I don't think it's right either. How does my 2yo factor into my job...she's 20 miles away? Guess who's looking for a new job...this mom

There are usually two reasons for this.

1-The pants are made by a manufacturer that, instead of cutting the pattern of the pants one at a time, they cut them 10 (or 20 or 50) at a time. So they stack the pieces of fabric they use on top of one another-- like pages in a book. If any of those "pages" are slightly off in the stack-- even by a few milimeters, your pants will be smaller than the standard size.

2- Some dye colors (usually those that are heavily saturated in color-- like black) affect the shrinkage of the fabrics differently (upon drying). Manufacturers should know this and cut the patterns accordingly, but I am sure some don't.

I work in fashion manufacturing, and I can't believe my job helped me answer a question!

JC Penny whatever brand that is. I am not a fan of Old Navy pants. They never fit me right.

Hahaha, I do know how you feel. A friend announced her pregnancy the other day and I was all YAY a squishy baby I can hold and then give back to mom when it poops or cries! I guess I'm coming to terms even more with being OAD.

A friend from my bmb just announced she's pregnant with #4 (oldest will turn 4 one month after new baby is born). I had a pang of wishing I were having another...
