Daylight Savings

...I'm loving it right now! I hadn't thought about how it would change DS's schedule at all but now that it has happened, it's glorious! I didn't transition him to any changes...just left it alone.
Now, instead of him waking at 6am, it's 7am. Instead of going to bed at 7pm, it's 8pm. Nap was at 10am, now it's 11am. You get the drift. I just feel like I'm actually getting to sleep in (I know, 7am shouldn't be considered sleeping in) and that we will be able to stay out a tiny bit later since his bedtime is at 8 now! I love spring/summer time!!
Sorry, no reason to this post except to share my excitedness!!! :-D

Re: Daylight Savings

  • We let DD sleep in until 8:00 today, but she will have a 7:00 bedtime and 7:00 wake time as usual beginning tomorrow. We lke our current schedule. DST is a great opportunity for a schedule shift, though!

  • I am right there with you! Hoping that this new schedule will continue. I much prefer him sleeping 8-7 then 7-6. Fingers crossed for both of us!

  • It's messing with my older one more than DD2. I really have never liked the longer daylight. It's hard to convince DD1 that it is bed time when the sun is still shining.
Tomorrow morning won't be fun. Trying to wake her up because she's staying up a little later than usual.
Glad it's helping some of your schedules!

  • Today was just like any other day with DD. She is normally up between 7am and 8:30am. Today she woke up at 8:10am (normally 7:10) and everything was on the same schedule all day. Bedtime was only about 15mins later the usual.
I am okay with that. I like her 7:30 bedtime!

  • Daylight Savings is kicking my butt. I am SO tired and thrown off. It's hard to fall asleep at a good time because my body still thinks it's an hour earlier and then O wakes up by 6 which to me is still 5....blows....
