Mom fail

One of my neighbors was getting rid of a play kitchen and I was heading out to the garage to put the baby in the car so we could drive down and pick it up. I open the door to the garage and trip over our recycling bin and drop the baby (who is in his infant seat) as I fall. He's fine, just scared. I'm fine, just scared too. We've been saying we're going to install the convertible seat every weekend for like a month now and haven't gotten around to it and now I'm so glad! It would have been so much worse if he hadn't been protected by his seat! Anyway, I still feel terrible about dropping him

Thanks ladies! The baby is napping now and I'm eating ice cream for lunch. On the upside: here's our play kitchen. I'm going to store it for another year or so until LO is ready for it!

Oh no! Thanks God nothing happened besides the scary moment. I am always afraid of dropping LO when I hold him and need to do something like up and down the stairs

It happened so fast! All I remember was trying not to let go of the car seat while also trying not to fall on top of it. Im just glad he was in the seat and not in my arms. Accidents happen but I never want to be reason my child gets hurt!

I fell down basement stairs in Wisconsin while visiting. I have never been in snow so I didn't think to take off shoes. After we check nothing is broken and I didn't hit my head I started to ugly cry. DH panicked and I said what if I had been holding the baby.
I am so glad you both are ok! I hope you can just breathe for a minute I think the freak out hurts worse then the fall. :-)

Right?! The lady who gave it to us has 4 kids so I'm impressed it looks so good! I couldn't pass it up for free!

I feel in the snow and ice with DD1...thankfully due to the snow and such she didnt have as far to go as I did. She was in her seat as well...but didnt stop that mom guilt.

Happens to the best of us...those 'what ifs' are killers.
