My husband can't wait for her to get a bit older so he can buy nerf guns and lightsabers, etc.. haha.. So far, the only things I buy for "her" are her clothes. "She" will be getting a kiddie pool soon :P
Before we had to move, I re-did DD's entire room in a Disney Princess theme. I claimed it was for her, but really, I needed a project and I princesses.
And I may or may not be in an ebay bidding war right now over a "vintage" (1970s/80s) Little People Schoolhouse playset complete with ABC magnets.
This is us with little people sets. He has 3 sets. I just saw the vintage little people farm set at an antique store this last weekend but i didn't bother to look at the price. That's funny though I hope you win!!
We buy her a stuffed animal everywhere we go, including when I was pregnant. She got a stuffed stingray and humpback whale this last vacation. Her favorites are a giraffe and elephant from a couple of zoo trips. She also has a rhino, monkey, lemur, sea turtle, iguana, ram, ladybug, leopard, lion...I can't remember them all.
DH wants to get one of the really big wooden playsets with slide and swings. I told him he may need to notch it back a bit and just get her a 2 foot plastic slide for this summer and think about the big set when she is at least 2 years old. She will be getting a pool of some sort, ideally one that's big enough for her to use her float in.
DS got a big wooden swing set last year for his birthday. We got a baby swing so he could use it and helped him down the slide. FF to this year and we went out yesterday he was climing that thing like nobodies business! LOL it's funny how fast they grow.
I'm embarrassed to even make a list. At A's birthday party last weekend, his aunts and uncles started referring to our house as FAO Schwartz and I couldn't even argue. Of course, they came with armfuls of gifts to add to it so it isn't all me!

DH has said we should start charging admission to DS's playroom, lol.
I bought LO an anywhere chair from Pottery barn kids that she can't even use yet. She also had chami sheets from the same store that cost $29 a piece.... But I love them and they are warm and soft for her. I also went a little overboard on her Easter basket. I have problems.

DS's easter basket is a longanberger. I think it was like 50 or 60? But he reuses it every year

She'll totally use the chair, though. I bought one for A when he was born from Land of Nod and it took him awhile but now it's HIS chair and he uses it constantly. Consider it an early investment.
@JackoftheBox That's why I stayed away from the really young looking baskets and went classic, I want her to be able to use it.
@eyenigh Yay! That's awesome. Right now one of her stuffed bears is very comfortable in the chair but he will give it up one day soon. I love the fact that the cover is machine washable.
Re: Things you bought "for your LO"
Throwing leaves
Lots and lots of Play- Doh.
And the Disney Lego sets.

I also got her Calico Critters bunnies and made them a bed since she's sick again and I needed something to do.
Definitely the clothes, shoes & Disney movies here too.....but also the Doc McStuffins version of the game Operation she got for Christmas!
I'd say all of LO's wardrobe is more for me than for him. His friends won't be impressed.
