I voted yes but I maybe wrong. We stored all our stuff at ILs when we moved. They have stinkbugs. So they may have come with our stuff in the move. We will know for sure if the weather ever warms up.
YES, and they scare the ever loving shit out of me! I know its irrational since they dont bite and are pretty slow, but I am terrified of anything that can attack with stink while I am killing it! We saw one in the house a few days ago, but we had a TON of them back in October when I was on Maternity Leave, I literally cried like every day for two weeks!
I love cilantro and they don't smell like it at all to me. It's definitely a musty smell though. I hate how they fly so kamikaze and bump into stuff. I really hope they stay away.
We have still been finding live ones throughout the winter, and we've had a harsh winter.
I hate how the little fuckers come into my house just to die. I swear once a day I have to pick up their little corpses and flush them. Keep that shit outside!
I also hate how DH thought it would be funny to teach Riley (the younger dog) to attack them. If I can get them with a tissue, no stink. If Riley gets them first, stink everywhere (and I don't know she has one until I smell it).
I played a game one night (before Sully, so I had nothing better to do) where I grabbed a quart size mason jar and captured as many of them as I could off the back of the house and locked them up. It didn't take very long for the jar to get 1/3 full. :-&
They also eat my fresh veggies in my garden... assholes.
It depends where you are in Canada. I'm on the west coast and we don't have stink bugs here.
When I lived in the interior, there were always stink bugs everywhere. Apparently they're attracted to heat (they eat or lay eggs in pinecones or something so are attracted to heat signatures).
I don't care about them much one way or another, but it's gross that they're everywhere during the summer.
I had never heard of them till I went to SIL's parents' house in Pennsylvania. Now they're suddenly in NY! My dad says they're moving up from the South. You can keep them!
DD1 flushed one down the toilet last week. If you seal the cracks around your screens and replace ones with wholes, it helps. We stink bug-proofed 2 yrs ago, time to do it again. Ants are a bigger problem here.
Re: CPW: stink bugs. **warning I added a picture**
They seem like gross little fuckers.

Monster Truck (It's a GIRL!) is due 19/02/2015!
