I'm so sad...

Hello. So, I went in today for my 3rd ultrasound at 8 wk 3 days, and no HB. Dr said it may have happened today or yesterday, because I am measuring 8 wk 2 days... It was just so unexpected since I heard & saw the HB at 6 wks. Now I'm scheduled for a D&C this Thursday. I don't know what I'm looking for by posting as I normally just lurk on the boards. We didn't tell anyone, so I don't want to bring it up now & I have 3 "littles", so can't be sad at home. I'm just feeling incredibly blue...

    Def. not alone. I ve had 2 losses, both times saw the HB then went back and it was gone. It's devestating but you will get thru this. Take your time and grieve as you need. I'm so sorry for your loss

    I'm in a very similar spot. Just found out today.

    I'm sick to my stomach and exhausted from crying most of the day. Every time I think I have a hold on it, it's like a dam that bursts open. I am ready feel like I have normal, non-puffy/achy eyelids.

    DS is would up from the DST switch, so I haven't had a chance to rest or even discuss with DH.

    I took a few minutes for myself and took a hot shower... Which is when my doctors offices called back (one for a second opinion, one to schedule the d&c). Of course it was after 5, so now I have to wait.

    PG#1 - 3rd cycle BFP. Team Green. HELLP syndrome @ 34 weeks.
    Later diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, possible link to HELLP.

    PG#2 M/C 3/14 - Surprise BFP 2/13. Beta's doubled every 52 hours from 3w5d-5w5d
    Viable pregnancy scan at 5w5d; 2nd u/s showed 2 days of growth in 7 but a HB of 120
    3rd u/s on 3/10/14 had no HB and baby had only grown 7 days over 14
    D&C 3/17/14 - complications - DX Retroflexed uterus, multiple tears to cervix

    And I just want to add that I am so angry to not have answers.

    Why did the heart just stop beating without anything being off otherwise?

    I know it's something in regards to it not being meant to be - a chromosomal issue or development issue... I've realized that there's rarely enough medical information to satisfy a "why" question, but that doesn't stop me from not feeling an ounce of closure.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. we all know how devastatingly sad it can be. I wish you a speedy recovery (physically speaking) from your D&C.

    We will. I will take some time. I'm hoping that it'll be a little easier after the d&c. Mine isn't scheduled yet... I wasn't prepared to schedule when I was in the office and they're trying to fit me in.

    I was still feeling blue yesterday and today.  I hate that my body hasn't caught up yet, and I still feel morning sickness all day, boobs hurt, etc.  Did you get the 2nd opinion?  I'm hoping for better news for you the 2nd time around.  My D&C is tomorrow :(  This pregnancy was a surprise, we weren't trying - My husband thinks he wants to actually try for a baby... I don't think I do.  This is my 2nd miscarriage in 4 months.  I am older, and I just vision the same outcome.  Plus, a baby would be 5 years younger than my current youngest child - that's a big age gap, as the others are only 1.5 years apart.  I know I'm rambling (sorry).  Anyway, please let me know if you are ok & what happened with your 2nd opinion.
