Crib Activity Centers?

I searched and searched before posting and couldn't find anything....

DH suggested today to get an activity center (is that what they're called?) to mount to LO's crib. I am not so hot in the idea because I want her to recognize her bed as a place to rest and not to play. What do you ladies think? If anyone has them how are they working for you?

Re: Crib Activity Centers?

  • I would agree about not confusing sleep and play areas. We had one of those light/music things that are supposed to help with sleep but LO just ended up playing with it all the time and not sleeping so we took it out.

  • Yep. Cribs are for sleeping only.

I even have this rule for myself because I have massive sleep issues.

  • L@bellaoso I agree. This is why we don't have a Tv in our bedroom.

Dd doesn't sleep in her crib, but we do have a mobile that I mounted to the changing table for a nice distraction.

  • Thanks ladies!!! I definitely don't want her confused!

  • We have a kick and play piano in ours. Right now if I need to do something during the day (vacuum, dishes, pee) I can put LO in the crib at that end and turn it on and he is happy. For nighttime and naps he sleeps on the other end of the crib. So far it hasn't been an issue. If it starts to be one we'll take it out
