I'm in labor and deciding when to go in

Seven days overdue, finally started having worthwhile contractions this morning, had a check up and I'm 4.5cm and 80% effaced. I was given the option to go in right away and progress there or head home, have a light lunch, work through some more contractions there, and then head in. They did make it clear that no matter what, I needed to go in at some point today and I would be admitted since I'm a week overdue anyway. So I guess today is the day! Hoping to go med-free, so let's hope I can time it well when I go in. Wish me luck!

Good luck! If you can cope well with the contractions, then I would stay home as long as you can stand.

Rest, Relax, and eat! I ate tons before going in. Don't let them break your water I feel the contractions where more intense that way. I would wait till at least your are 9cm. Or not at all. Or let it break on its own. You can do this!!!

I agree with PPs, stay home as long as you can. If something concerning happens, like bleeding, or your waters break then go in. Otherwise wait until things are more intense.
