AW: If Anyone Is Near DC.../ AP Parenting Class

I'm teaching Attachment Parenting International's new parenting curriculum in a 6 week class in Chantilly, VA. Some of you may remember me geeking out when I got to spend the weekend with Lysa Parker & Barbara Nicholson last fall. This is what I was getting ready for. I'm so excited and hope people sign up for something relatively unknown right now.

    Very cool! I attended one API meeting when we moved to the DC area, and there were lots of moms at the meeting, but all of older children. I felt a little out of place and so didn't go back. Of course API isn't just for school-aged kids' parents, but it seems like it's that way for my local chapter.

    -My step-daughter is 12 years old.

    -BFP #1 on 9/2/12, D&C 10/18/12 no heartbeat on US @ 10 weeks.

    -BFP #2 on 1/7/13, R was born on 9/22/13 via C-Section

    I'm in Atlanta (formerly from the DC metro area though!) and am considering taking the API parenting classes in Nashville this spring.  Did you love it?  :-)

    As part of the training to teach the class, Barb and Lysa taught several of the classes to model them for us, and it was great. I think it is an amazing resource for families. For me, AP from the books made perfect  sense in the newborn days, but by the end of DS1's first year I had lots of questions about how to apply it. While the class covers the newborn stuff, it also bridges that knowledge gap for how to do AP in the toddler & preschool years, too.
