Sad & Venting

I had my maternity pics done last week and we went to the photog's place yesterday to review them. There were some that were really cute, but none with me smiling. We must've take 250 pics last weekend and there were 33 that she presented, I was smiling in maybe 4 of them and we ended up wanting to crop out our heads in most of those because it didn't look good. We had taken some with my kids holding a picture frame in front of my belly and she had cropped their heads out when she took it so it's just their hands and my belly. I'm sooo disappointed that I'm scheduling pics with another photographer later this week. Hubs thinks the pics are fine and we shouldn't spend the money on more pics, but I'm never going to be pregnant again and I've never had maternity pics with the other kids. I just want pictures that make me look and feel pretty, not a bunch of belly shots that could really be anyone in the world.

    Ugh! That stinks!!! I love pics and documenting things. I hope you can get some good ones soon!!

    I should probably tell her I'm disappointed, we are friends/acquaintances outside of this, I just don't know that there WOULD be something better. You know? Like these were the ones she thought were the best so everything else must've really made me look bad. I will text her, worst case scenario I'm inthe same position I am now. Thank you ladies :)

    It's worth a try talking to her first. She might have thought the ones she showed you were the "best" based on HER style; perhaps she didn't realize exactly what you wanted. Be direct - "Do you have any more pictures of me smiling? Do you have any more pictures that show the kids' faces?" Either way, good luck... hope you get what you wanted!

    I sent her a text asking for any pics of me smiling or that might be cropped differently, she said she would check to see if anything else came out. FX that there is something that will make me less weepy at least. Everyone I have showed has said they really like them, and even if I'm not smiling I still look pretty. I guess I just had a vision in my head. Worst case scenario I still have some great belly shots and once she's outside I'll probably forget all about inside baby pics.

    She finally texted me yesterday with a few more pics from the shoot. They weren't exactly what I had hoped for, but I got to have the kids smiling with the frame and me looking a little more happy about being pregnant. I'm feeling like even though I don't have exactly what I want, I definitely have some that are really nice and "good enough" for what I would imagine for the future. Thanks for your support everyone :)
