Adult rain boots

Unfortunately the sole of my rain boot separated from the upper on our walk tonight. What are your favorite boots for you (brand/style)? No real budget as I will be using my birthday money for the purchase.

I have these in pink and love them. Although TBH I don't have much of a frame of reference as they are my first rain boots in adult life.

Love, love, love my Hunters! I have two pairs, the original high gloss in graphite and a black pair that has a slight wedge heel.

I had these until recently when they also split open, but on the upper part of the side. Agree that Hunters rock. I have the purple. I never knew about this wedge heel variety! Too cute.

I bought them on 6pm.com, but it was like 3 years ago so they may not make them any more.

Why are rain boots so expensive? I could see spending that much if I lived in Seattle, but here in Michigan it only for about one month of the year.

I got a $20 pair from tractor supply. I'd lobe a nice pair but mine get used for mud and stuff too.

I'll be honest with you, I love boots! I also take my dogs on walks daily and wear them to work in my yard/garden. I have found that rain boots don't hold grass stains like fabric shoes do plus they protect my shins from flying debris. I also try to buy quality foot wear that will last, the boots that fell apart are from high school so I get a number of years of wear out of them (the last pair was 14 years old) so even at $140 that ends up being only $10 a year.

I have two pairs - a pair of Hunters for actually muddy work I do for my job (sluggin around in wetlands). I like them, but they are very heavy and walking in them is akward.
