Anyone else as sad as I am about the season ending? I haven't liked a drama this much since Six Feet Under. Can't wait to find out about the story & actors for the next season.
I thought it was great - McConaughey was beyond amazing in it. I'm curious where they go next - apparently the creator doesn't really like serial killers, so he may not go in that direction next time.
Loved it! Both Woody and Matthew were excellent. I really thought they'd both die (or at least Rust) in Carcosa, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I agree with other posters about American Horror Story. Season 1 was amazing, season 2 bored me to death and I only got halfway through season 3 before giving up.
I loved it! It wasn't until the end though that I realized how disappointed I was at the lack of strong or interesting female characters. I had high hopes for Maggie, but she was kind of a let down at the end.
The internet says re: Season 2 of True Detectives
Synopsis from the Creator: "This is really early, but I’ll tell you (it’s about) hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system."
@LoHerrim It is only on HBO although I'm sure somewhere the internet can provide it for you.
DH and I watched it. He loved it, I was just kind of "meh" about it. It had a lot of potential but I feel like they still left a lot of loose ends untied at the end (yellow king anyone?). Also, the finale had like 5 endings. Just when I thought it was the last scene, they went into another scene. I didn't hate it overall, just didn't love it.
I'm in the minority here about AHS, too. I really liked season 1, but I also really liked season 2. I feel like it went into a lot more detail and had a lot more going on. I liked the way they wrapped it all up. We haven't watched season 3 yet.

I read that after I made this post. Who knew the transportation system had ties to the occult? Weird! Maybe next season will have a strong female character or two since Maggie was indeed a let down.
I loved True Detective! And I loved AHS...every season. And I love Game of Thrones and True Blood and Boardwalk Empire. Ahhhhhhh such is the life of an insomniac Yay for DVR!
I don't see how they'll top season 1. It's also awesome to be from the area the show was based (Southwest Louisiana). I hope season 2 is just as good. I heard he was going to persue more women for lead characters so we'll see. Going to be hard to top Matthew and Woody!

Re: True Detective Ladies?
At least game of thrones will be back soon! Though I loved how creepy this show was.
