Mild vent and sorry to be a PW

I just got a phone call from a friend asking for DS's infant car seat so her sister (who's 35) doesn't have to go buy one for her FOURTH kid (and her youngest is maybe 3)

Um no.

First of all- I WILL have more kids (or die trying)

Second of all- if you're on your 4th kid - why don't you keep your crap?

Third of all - you can buy infant car seats from Walmart for like $150

And fourth of all- if I'm going to get rid of my name brand like-new condition infant car seat - that I still have the BOX for and the stroller system - I would sell it- duh.

I swear. Humph.

    Wow, how inconsiderate! Really some people are just stupid. Obviously, if you didn't intend to use it again you would have gotten rid of it. I feel your pain. I hate stupid, ignorant people!

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    Wow, that is really insensitive and I cannot imagine asking someone for their property.  To buy it...maybe (although for baby items I would never dream of it since you don't know if someone is planning to have more) but to "borrow" it...never.  I hope that you listed all of your reasons and made her feel like a horrible person for asking.

    Uhhh.. Yea. My cousin had her daughter EIGHT months after N was born, and right from the day she was born she's been begging for my kids' shit. She actually came here and jacked me for the high chair, she didn't even give me a chance to say "No, we're still using that" she just walked out with it. My grandmother is CONSTANTLY trying to guilt trip me because I say it's not my fucking responsibility to clothe other peoples children, I really don't care how poor they are. For a while I wouldn't give her any hand-me-downs at all, so I guess she had her kid in clothes that were way too small. I finally just gave her a bunch of clothes recently, but now the kids are pretty much in the same size, so she's gonna be assed out once again. 

    Also, huge side eye to anyone that has 4 kids close in age and not retaining their baby gear. That is just plain dumb.

    @mrscastillo I know right?! If you have 3 kids already (1 girl and and 2 boys) you should have everything you could possibly need.

    The only thing I have gotten rid of is a broken breast pump and stained clothing.

    Not to mention the shower / gender reveal she had for # 4 ( which I did not attend thank god).

    @Mrs Castillo - she just took your high chair? I wouldn't have given her anything. I lend my sister girl clothes for her little girl, but she knows that it has to come back here, and I am kinda nuts about getting my stuff back.

    Go to effing Goodwill to get clothes, seriously I bought a bunch of pants for DD there when she hit size 4t. We are financially tight, but when my SIL left my brother she stopped sharing her hand me downs so, I started looking for myself. You can get tons of girls clothes for not much if you know where to look.

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    @AprilDrew04‌ right! I buy a lot of my son's stuff on end of season clearance for the next season! I got him a $50 winter coat for $10 bucks.

    I've also bought him large lots of gently used clothing off eBay.

    Very very inconsiderate of her. So what did you tell her?

    The other day SIL commented that I can soon get rid of my stroller since DD just turned 2. She chose to have only 1 child, and I guess she assumed we would too. She didnt mean anything bad but still I was a bit upset.
