Baby won't sleep

My 10 month old daughter never wants to sleep. She is so exhausted and just fights it like crazy. She only slept 8 hours last night. Then took a 20 minute nap this morning and as soon as I laid her down for her afternoon nap...she woke right up! She currently sleeps in our bed but I am trying to transition her into her bed. Any ideas or suggestions? I tried Ferber method but she won't stop crying even after 2 hours.

    My son has been the same way lately. I attribute it to him crawling now since its fairly recent.

    Your LO sounds exactly like mine. We are transitioning into crib tonight. I don't have high expectations. He just feel asleep for first time today but he's clinging to me in my bed. This won't be good :(

    How are you transitioning to crib tonight? The Ferber method or CIO? I hate seeing her cry but I know it is best for everyone for her to sleep in her crib. I usually just give up after an hour and put her in bed with us at night. Which I am sure just confuses her more.

    We will try Ferber but we've tried in past and it didn't work. I'm just getting frustrated with being his sleeping buddy. Nothing gets done around the house and DH and I don't get a lot of alone time. We will keep trying until it works, I guess. He just gets soooo upset.

    Well, it's not going well. It's been about an hour and he screamed bloody murder for the first 30 mins and then settled down a little, but he started up again. I don't know how much longer I can take. He's hysterical! I feel awful :(

    Going through this right now. It's horrible.

    ETA: Turns out all of the screaming was double ear infections. We ended up in the ER. Not trying sleep training again for a loooooong time.
