Hair / eye color changing

I know it is common for babies hair and eye color to change from what they were born with. Has your anyone else's LOs started changing yet? And STMs how long did it take?

DS was born with blue eyes as black hair, but the newborn hair fell out and started growing in a light brown color and his eyes turned brown.

DD was born with blue eyes and dark brown hair. Her newborn hair hasn't fallen out yet but it is growing in lighter brown / blonde. It almost looks like she is balding because her roots are much lighter. Her eyes are a grayish color now. I'm eager to see what she will end up looking like! Isn't it crazy how you try to figure out which parent they look like when they're born and they end up changing?

DD was born with dark brown/black hair and blue eyes. Her hair is now a lighter brown and she has brown eyes. I think it only took a few months for her eyes to darken. I don't really remember.

DS was born with blonde hair and blue eyes. His hair is starting to darken to the same shade as DD's and so far his eyes are still blue.v

DD was born with hair that was a strawberry blonde colour and her eyes were really dark blue. Most of her newborn hair has fallen out and she is just starting to grow some new hair. I can't tell what colour it is at this point. It looks like it might be the same as her newborn hair but it is still too short to tell.

Her eyes are changing and some days look more brown and some days they look a grey colour. I think that most likely they will be brown.

You are right about it being so neat to see who they look like. I can't wait for her hair to grow in and I hope that she gets DHs curls! His hair is lovely when it is longer lol

With DS1 his eyes were gray when he was born and he was pretty bald, but what was there looked medium brown. His hair never fell out, but what grew in started out as strawberry blonde and ginger. His hair was slow to come in, he barely had any by 1 year old. Now he is blonde. His eyes went from gray to brown around 4-5 months old if I remember correctly.

DS2 started out with blue-gray eyes from birth and now they are blue without any gray at 8 weeks so I think he will probably stay blue eyed. I have blue and DH has brown eyes (and is the only brown eyed child of his siblings). DS2's hair was dark brown when he was born then it all fell out. What is coming in now (peach fuzz at this point) looks strawberry blonde again.

I'm also a bit shocked with DS1 because he has poker straight hair yet DH and I both have curly hair. I know it can change around 4-5 years old so I'm secretly hoping he will start getting some curls or at least wavy hair.

DS1 was born with dark hair and bright blue eyes. He's 2 now, and his hair is the same medium/light brown as his dad. It's the same thick, almost coarse texture as DH's hair and has the same slight wave to it as well. I didn't really notice the texture change until he was about a year old. DS1's eyes are still blue, but they are a lighter blue/gray with a dark ring around them. His eyes didn't settle in to that shade of blue until he was more than 6 months old.

DS2 has light hair and dark blue eyes. He still has most of his baby hair (he's rocking a receding hairline right now) but given how light his eyelashes and eyebrows are I expect it will stay pretty light. It's almost a strawberry blonde color now. I'm pretty sure his eyes will stay blue since both DH and I have blue eyes, but it will be interesting to see if they will be bright blue like DH or blue/gray like mine and DS1.

DD (almost 6 weeks) doesn't seem to have "settled" on her permanent look yet. She has brown hair right now, but hasn't lost her baby hair. Her eyes seem to change daily, and depending on the lighting. Some days they look quite blue, some days grey, and sometimes I'll see a glint of brown around the pupil. I'm guessing they'll end up brown (like mine) but I'm really hoping she'll get H's beautiful blue eyes! I also hope she gets his hair - it's thick and curly; I always wished for curly hair growing up. She seems to already have his nice full lips which I'm happy about. She doesn't seem to have much from me, yet, but I've heard she has my nose

Xavier had dark hair and blue eyes when he was born. The hair fell out and now he's got light brown hair. At about a year old, his eyes turned from blue to green. Abel has light brown hair and blue eyes now so we'll see what happens!

@xan84 half indian is a wonderful ethnicity to be (that's what I am). My friends were always jealous of how I was always tan. I do have to deal with random people speaking to me in languages like spanish, portuguese, arabic, italian, etc thinking thats what I am too.

@Xan84‌ how funny! Unfortunately I DON'T speak any other languages than English so I can't respond in some cool way when that happens to me.

I do, however enjoy watching people squirm by how I reply when they ask me where I'm from. I say "Michigan" and they realize that the way they asked the question wasn't the appropriate way to get to what they really wanted to know.

My dad, however does speak Malayalam, French, and English. He says that he has been in North America so long now (since he was 20) that no matter what language he speaks, he has some sort of an accent. He can't even speak Malayalam without having one and so when he goes back to India he gets side-eyed.

DD1 was born with very dark brown hair and those dark greyish blue eyes. Her hair slowly fell out and continued to grow in lighter and lighter up to her 2nd birthday. It's now a light brown. Her eyes took about that long too. Last summer, they finally settled on a greenish-hazel.

DD2 was born with strawberry blonde hair and greyish blue eyes. So far, she's lost some hair but no real change in hair or eye color yet.

All of my sons have been born with brown hair and gray eyes.

DS1's hair fell out by 2 months and grew in blonder. It's light brown/dark blonde and his eyes turned light brown.

DS2's hair never fell out, it just grew and slowly turned blonde. He's somewhat light blond and has chocolate brown eyes.

DS3's hair has fallen out some, but not as much as DS1's did. His eyes are looking lighter. I was holding out hope that they might turn blue but I think they will be brown as well.

DS was born with gray/blue eyes and dark brown hair. His hair got a lighter brown, and his eyes turned a beautiful hazel, exactly like his father's eyes.

DD was born with more blue eyes and a medium brown hair. Her hair has already started lightening up. It is almost a light reddish/blondish brown now. Her eyes are still blue. I am wondering what will happen in the next few months. I am expecting her to get light hair, maybe blond. My husband went from dark brown hair to complete clond in his first year. I am thinking she is going to go that route.

DS had blonde hair and blue blue eyes. His hair is darkening up now.

DD hair has been lightening up since she was born but her eyes are still blue. Since I have blue eyes and my H has green-blue eyes, I think her eyes will be blue

DD1 was born with dark blonde hair and green eyes. Her eyes are still hazel most of the time, sometimes they're completely brown. It's so weird. She's had the changing eye colors from day one tho. Mine go between blue and green too. And DH has brown. Maybe that's why her eye color changes (within a day they'll be different colors). Any one else with this? Her hair is light blonde now tho.

DD2 was born with blue eyes and dark hair, and her eyes are still the same but her hair is going lighter.

DS was born with dark brown hair and blue eyes, and he still has both. DD's dark brown hair didn't start falling out until around 6 months, and her new growth came in blonde (she had an awkward couple of months with that look). Her eyes got lighter starting around the same time, but stayed blue.
