Move over lactation cookies!

So I've been experimenting with lactation cookies and thought I could do the same concept with other things. Made a huge batch of apple crisp and it was a success!

Just added flax seed mill to the crisp topping and made sure to use non instant oats. Has anyone else used other recipes? Please share! The lactation cookies are good but I got burnt out of them after eating my first batch.

Re: Move over lactation cookies!

  • Eh, I had more success with Mother's Milk tea and an evening beer, than lactation cookies.
I did make several batches of no bake cookies, at the time I was doing no soy/dairy, so I used coconut oil. DH loves no bakes, but couldn't get past the brewer's yeast and coconut flavors...which was fine, he wasn't supposed to be eating them anyway!

  • I make lactation smoothies with chocolate almond milk (4 oz), a frozen banana, 1/3 cup of oatmeal (ground fine in food processor), 1/2 tbsp each of flax seed and brewers yeast. Very yummy.
  • Yep I made flax seed and oat muffins with banana and blueberry, yummy!

  • I will need to try the apple crisp!!! I love apple crisp! With the lactation cookies I felt a difference after 2days of eating them (I was eating like 6/day)
