Car troubles

I'm starting to feel like a prisoner. DD HATES (uncontrollable crying) riding in the car. I've always heard "if baby won't sleep, take 'em for a ride around the block". Pretty sure she's the only baby in the world who this rule doesn't apply to. She will be 9 weeks Thursday and I have yet to go anywhere without DH. I always sit in the back seat to try to comfort her. He is going out of town for 2 weeks so I'm going to have to start driving us around. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to get baby to tolerate the car? He is leaving Friday & my anxiety of having to drive without him is rapidly building!

    What seat do you have?  Have you checked to make sure you're not over tightening and that there isn't anything sharp or rough in the seat?  She may feel a little car sick so try keeping a window cracked.  Does she have reflux?  Infant seats can sometimes make that worse so you may consider switching to a convertible since they do sit up a little straighter.
