Awkward conversation

Prompted by the "never have I ever" discussion last week, I did a little Amazon searching for vibrators. I told my H I was thinking of buying one and he got kind of upset/weird about it. He couldn't understand why I would want one. So I didn't order it.

WWA13D? Would you just order it and tell him after it arrives and we could play with it together? Buy it and not tell him? Or not get it since he wasn't on board?

    This! I think this is the reason most men are insecure about toys. My H was in the beginning but now every once in a while he will be the one to bring things out

    I had mine before I met DH, and "introduced" them quite early.  ;-) I think he wants to believe that "he's all I need" but I'm sorry... nothing compares to the vibe... ;-)

    Also, maybe go for one thats not so realistic looking, bright color etc so when he sees it, he's less threatened by it because its not replacing him.

    Or you can go for the whole shebang and get one with veins and all. :-bd
    Not going to lie, those look creepy to me. Yet strangely the ones that look like kid toys with animal features don't creep me out. Go figure.

    I agree with @clgsquared he might think it is him. Reassure him about it and make sure he knows it isn't him at all and you just want to try and be kinky. If I were in your position, I'd get one and just bring it out when both of you are in a great mood.

    For real.  Let me be honest, you may want to break it out on your own (and when H is gone) if this is going to be your first time.  Do you remember the SATC episode with Charlotte when she wouldn't leave her apartment...that's accurate.  I fear that if you use it for the first time with your husband, he will KNOW he has been replaced.  And this is coming from a woman whose husband is good in bed.  
    When I got my first one, I was blown away.

    I just have a little clit vibe too, nothing intimidating or veiny.  It is still amazing. ;-)

    I'm coming to this late but I wanted to add that my H was totally intimidated in the beginning as well (I had one before him then we bought one together). Our go to toy now (when we are in the toy mood!) is a c-ring with a vibrating bullet which he loves as much as I do, but we rarely use the vibrator and I never use it without him.

    We have a c-ring too but that didn't go over very well.  Ha.  We rarely use it together, but I frequently use it without him. ;-)  especially in the third tri when I was horny as hell all the time but sex was the most unappealing thing EVER.

    We bought a dresser off of a friend. When we got home to our house, my husband and I were putting things away when he opening the drawer to find some underwear with a HUGE dong-like vibrator. My husband freaked. So awkward returning her "bag of underwear"!
