Which name for our baby girl?? Please help!

Ladies I NEED your help! DH and I are having a hard time agreeing on a name for our baby girl. I have gone through every "A" name in the world and came up with quite a few pretty ones but in one way or another haven't worked out (either already taken by a close friend or relative, or DH doesn't like it). Long story short, we have actually agreed on these last 4 names. Which do you ladies like the best?

As a teacher I stay away from names of kiddos that I have issues with. Anaya (no matter the spelling) is on my no no list. Lol!

Those aren't my style, but if I had to pick, I think I'd go Ariana.

As a substitute teacher - Ariana is the one I'm most confident about pronouncing correctly so I'd go with that one.

Yeah, DH is insistent on an A name since his starts with an A. I actually don't mind A names. I initially wanted Arielle or Annalise. Those went down the drain real fast lol.

Ariana Belle is very pretty. The others sound a little "you-neek", if you get my drift.

I chose Alia because I have a student by that name right now whom I really like. I like Ariana too though. I think Amani is too close to Armani and she would probably get called that a lot. And I wouldn't be 100% confident pronouncing Anaya as a teacher.

My brain already keeps trying to turn Anaya into Anya so I could see that being an issue as well.

I voted for Ariana but I do like Alia, too. I think the spelling could be more intuitive, though, if you go with Alia. I'm not sure how you're intending for it to be pronounced. Like Aliyah? Or like Talia without the T?

They're all NMS but I picked Ariana. It's the only one that sounds like a real name. Also, Belle is pretty

I've had two quite rude students named Aireonna or Aeronna, so it's off limits to me. I guess Alia looks the best to me.

I chose Alia. My next door neighbors name is Alia (spelled the same) and she is the sweetest girl I've ever known! Definitely a keeper in my opinion. Good luck! Choosing a name is hard.

I would pronounce it like Aliyah.. I just don't like the "h" at the end. How about Aliya? Hoping it doesn't look like A-lie-uh to some people.

Oh! All of these are so beautiful! (I'm not sure what people mean by 'you-neek?' I've never heard the phrase before!) Although I'm the exact opposite of everyone else, Ariana is my least favorite, haha. Alia and Anaya are gorgeous, I have family members with those names and they're precious although they're spelled "Aaliyah" (like the singer) and "Anaiah." My favorite is actually Amani though. Arabic, right? I thought about naming my daughter the same but with the spelling "Imani", my husband loved it.

Were in between Ariana and Alia (Aliya) right now.. He's leaning more towards Aliya while I'm more towards Ariana. This is so difficult! Also I'm ok with her name being unique, it's a plus!

I feel like since you had us vote and Ariana is the clearly the winner you have to go with that name. Otherwise there is no point to creating a poll like this in MHO.

Well at the end of the day it's based on mine and DH's decision, not a poll. The votes are just an aid, and they definitely did narrow the 4 choices down.
