DH and I were talking about this last night - I always end up singing random Disney songs, musical songs, etc. to DS, especially when he gets whiny because it helps quiet him down. DH NEVER knows what I'm singing - he seriously thinks I make all these songs up, lol. I actually have taken to You-Tubing them because he didn't believe me. A couple nights ago I was singing "Bear Necessities" from the Jungle Book, "Prince Ali" from Aladdin, and then last night I was singing songs from The Sound of Music.
Anywho, was I just a latch-key kid who watched too many movies, or is my DH the weirdo who does't have every Disney song on record memorized (lol) #ilovedisneymovies ? What did you watch?
Re: What did you watch growing up?
He doesn't know any of the girl movies. He was 1 of 2 boys. It's going to be fun introducing BOTH of them to the world of Disney princesses.....
I grew up watching more kid stuff than DH.
I have the Now That's What I Call Disney CD and it's pretty inclusive. I drive DH crazy singing along with it. Now that we have LO, I can get away with it more often, but I've always done it.

I watched Disney but mostly Dukes of Hazzard, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, 3-2-1 Contact, Electric Company, Banana Splits, Star Wars, Brady Bunch, 80s and 90s sitcoms (Alf, Growing Pains, family times, wonder years, TGIF, Cosby show) and tons of cartoons (looney tunes, smurfs, snorks, thundercats, GI Joe, Voltron, HeMan, She-Ra, captain Caveman, Yogi Bear, Jabberjaw, Mighty Mouse, justice league...). Basically anything on Boomerang. I was a tv addict.
