Newborn daycare costs in Nassau County

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is willing to share the costs you encountered when searching for full-time newborn/infant daycare. We are expecting twins late winter and are trying to plan what our budget will be and whether or not I will have to stay home (or find a nanny)...

we were quoted around $1400 for a newborn at two places we looked at (Merrick and Bellmore). It's a daunting number for one baby! I hope you find somewhere good and reasonable for two!

I will be paying $325/week at a daycare facility in Bethpage. Includes up to 12 hours of coverage, but I will only need them for 9.

The facility we use charges $1260 per month for infant-18 mo. for 7-4 Monday-Friday. They run on a school schedule- no vacations or summer (camp program for summer is separate). Billed for 10 months.

I use a daycare Center in Mineola. We pay $1496 for a 5 day week (9 hours a day). The price drops a bit when he moves to toddler room at 18 months.

$335/week or $1340/month per child. Many places give you a whopping 10% off for the "oldest" child...

@jg1011 phew! I think we have things covered for the first few months with a sitter coming to the house, then my summer vacation, but when I go Baku to the 2014-2015 school year we will probably use a day care.
