My ob says no. I can't stand my greys. I feel old n ugly n now really pregnant. Always dyed my hair every three weeks. I'm thinking of cutting crew n wearing wigs. Anyone have similar issues ?
My OB said its best to go as long as you can in between colorings because she knows there is no way I'm letting grays show. I'm at 3 months and will be coloring tomorrow.
As always, listen to your dr. I'm a former hair stylist and worked through out all my pregnancies. And dyed my hair. Studies have shown that to have the hair dye chemicals enter your blood stream, you'd have to have the dye caked on your scalp for hours and hours and then refreshed bc it dries out. I would say fumes would be more dangerous than the dye. On top of that, the dye that stylists are using these days are so much safer and healthier than they were 10 years ago (when much of these recommendations came out). Even then, if you're still concerned, ask for a full highlight using your color (not just for blondes or lighter colors). The dye then is placed in foils and will not touch your scalp. It might not get rid of all the grays, but it will touch a handful and blend out roots. Talk to your stylists- they will have a lot of solutions for you!
I dyed my hair after the 1st tri. I was told in moderation it's fine, everyday would not be fine. I don't think anyone would be dying it everyday though.

I still dye mine once a month (every 4 weeks). I've switched to ammonia free dye and make sure to crack a window. Keeping up with my beauty regimen really helps my mental well being. The swollen feet and belly stretch marks don't stand out when the rest of me is put together. My husband even paints my toes for me since I can't reach them anymore!
