I just posted this on Parenting and then saw the discussion here about shoes.
"I'm thinking of using some birthday cash to buy a new purse. I typically buy a bag every 4-5 years and it's usually a small red leather bag.
I still carry around a diaper bag even though DD is potty trained because my current bag is too damn small. I don't want anything huge either. Just an in-between. I'd like to spend around $100.
I've seen one of these seatbelt bags before and really liked it. Would I look silly with something so bright?"

That is the worst part. I carry pretty large bags and I keep mostly everything in a few small leather pouches or cosmetic cases so when I have to swap, it's like 4 things plus a few randoms. It works out better like in large bags since it's easy to lose things if they're floating free. I like to change bags with coats and shoes so I've got a good rhythm for changing quickly.

Here is the clearance one. I like the high quality, but I'm not a fan of the color. I actually have boots similar to this color (a gift), but they're not my favorite.

I wish we had the money to get a couple of new bags, but with the impending move I can't justify spending all my birthday money on purses.
I just want to add that I love the fact that when you buy a new purse-it's usually red. I think red is a lot more versitlile than most people think-- I like the idea of having a signature piece!
