My middle name is Lauren, which is what I go by. My first name is my mom's name so I was named after her. I wouldn't change my name but I might have made it my first name because it can get pretty annoying/confusing filling out forms/ going to dr's appts. etc. I actually tried to drop my first name when I got married instead of my old last name but social security no longer allows you to drop a first name.

1. What is your middle name? Toye (pronounced 'toy')

2. Were you named after anything/anyone? My parents couldn't agree on a middle name. Each hated the others choice (Mom = Ann, Dad = Marie). My dad actually filled out my birth certificate on his own b/c my mom was asleep/drugged up. He "compromised" and went with Toye, which was my mom's bff's name.

3. Do you like or dislike your name? If dislike, what would you change it to if you could? I love it. It's unique.

2. Were you named after anything/anyone? Not my middle name, but my first name was my Grandmother's name.

3. Do you like or dislike your name? If dislike, what would you change it to if you could?I always thought that the combination of my first and middle name sounded like a boys name. Now I'm ok with it. Although my first, middle, and (married) last names all end in an "ee" sound, which is kinda funny to me.

not really, I just got my mom's middle name because my grandma was convinced "Katrina" was a witch...i think she confused the name with Sabrina, and there was just no talking her out of her fit.

I don't dislike it, I do wish my parent's would have stuck to their guns.

If dislike, what would you change it to if you could? I love it, but a lot of people combined it to Joann and it that is not what I prefer.

My middle name is Grace. It was my great grandmothers name. My first name is my grandmas name. I never got to meet either of them, my name makes me feel a little more connected to my family. I love my name! My first name isn't very common for my generation. Grace is more common but I love it.

1. What is your middle name? Grace

2. Were you named after anything/anyone? Nope. All I know is my parents couldn't figure out my name until the last minute (and I came a week late).

3. Do you like or dislike your name? If dislike, what would you change it to if you could? Its not bad. It goes well with my first name. But I think its hilarious because I am anything but graceful. I am the clumsiest person I know and I don't think I'm very "ladylike." I have no idea what I would change it to though. Maybe... "wait for it" (for all you HIMYM fans out there).

It is my Dad's favorite cousin's name - whom I've met. She's pretty funny so I can see why she was my dad's fav growing up. They were almost like siblings having spent so much time together.

It's OK, but growing up as a kid I thought my full name sounded like a stuffy Brittish woman.

I've never seen the big deal when people hate their middle name. Get over it and move on. It's not you first name do no one would ever need to know.

My parents had a stillbirth baby girl a few years before I came along, her name was Nikki, so it was in memory of her.

I like it, it flows with my name well. The only downside is how common it is.

My first name is spelled uniquely and I love it. I share it with my mom (it's her middle name). I love that I have my grandmas middle name- we have always been close!

Similar situation for me.

My middle name is Kate. My mom loved that name and it was what they named their first baby. She was stillborn, so it became my middle name when I came along. I like it.

2. Were you named after anything/anyone? My mom and dad absolutely couldn't agree on names. My mom wanted to name me Emma Grace, Emma after her mother and Grace because I was born on a Tuesday ('Tuesday's child is full of grace'). My dad thought that was too frilly, and he wanted to name me Jessie after his favorite aunt. My mom thought Jessie for a girl was too boyish. So they compromised on my first name and then when my dad was heading back to the hospital after picking some stuff up, he heard the song 'Alison' by Elvis Costello on the radio and thought it was a pretty name. So, that became my middle name.

3. Do you like or dislike your name? If dislike, what would you change it to if you could? I like it now, I didn't always. I love the song, it was the father/daughter dance at my wedding.

2. Were you named after anything/anyone? It's my grandma's first name and my mom's middle name before she changed it.

3. Do you like or dislike your name? If dislike, what would you change it to if you could? I like it because it's a family name. It's a pretty common middle name, but it has meaning to me.
