I have a cervical length ultrasound todayk at 1:30 pst. Hoping maybe we will finally get a good shot of the baby. Every U/S we have had we couldn't get a clear shot of the goods or face. Also FX for good cervical length.
I had a regular 25 week appointment this morning. The bladder infection I had two weeks ago is back or never left, so I have to go on different antibiotics. Also, they measured the fundal height and it was three weeks ahead (28 weeks). Dr. said I will have to have another ultrasound soon. She's also decided she wants to see me every two weeks from now on.
ETA- My husband is 6'5, 220 lbs. and was a 9 lb baby. His brother is 6'4, 250 lbs. and was a 10 lb baby. I'm starting to get nervous about baby girl's size!
Had a growth ultrasound this morning. There was no real reason for it since OB said everything looked really good on my A/S at 18 weeks. This one was ordered by my LEAST FAVORITE OB in the rotation. He delivered my DD and when she came to our last appointment, he just said "Ohhh". Ugh. No bedside manner.
Anyway. They made me wait over an hour for the ultrasound and when I asked they basically said they forgot about me. It was great seeing the LO on the ultrasound. Moving and kicking all around! My husband and I both think the face looks just like DD. Funny
Had my 28 week checkup this morning and to my surprise I was there for almost 2 hours (30 minutes waiting on doc to get out of surgery). Everything looked great. He checked my cervix and that was good, too. Then the doc informed me that I needed to get an ultrasound because of the medicine I'm on for my blood pressure and heart rate to check the growth of the baby. Boy was I surprised and very happy! The ultrasound lasted a good 30-45 minutes. Everything looked great with baby. She is growing right on track so the medicine is not affecting her (yet). I now get to go back every two weeks with an ultrasound to continue checking the growth of baby girl and I'm not complaining one bit! I can't believe we're on the final stretch!

My appointment went well. No mention of me being Team Captain for Team Fat Ass. We re-discussed me not doing the diabetes test so I ordered a blood sugar meter and my insurance covered it (it's the least they could do after their screw ups, lol.) Apparently I am seeing her every two weeks now.
I spent my day at labor and delivery. I woke up at 4 am and was having contractions, even felt them in my lower back. Called my OB and they said to come right in. Hooked up to monitors, IV started and the first shot of brethine came. I was moved from triage to a room for observation. Lots of contractions but after two doses of oral Procardia they released me. I had an hour long ultrasound and baby looks great, but you can still see where I am dilated with my cervix.
Bedrest until next weeks appointment and of course oral Procardia.
Jennylou0604 if you don't mind me asking, which bp meds are you on? I am also on those (started about 2 weeks ago) and hadn't heard anything about growth being impacted.

@kibean I'm on a beta blocker (for blood pressure and for my increased heart rate). It's called propranolol.

@Mrs_D_in_KY - thoughts and prayers to you and your LO!
I didn't have an appointment but I did have to go into L&D for contractions. Blood pressure was good, baby looks good, and cervix is "nice and long and closed." If they keep making me come in I'm afraid they are gonna start charging me rent!! Baby is ok, so that's the important thing.
Wanted to post this last night but I could not get the bump to work. So I waited over two hours at my appointment to find out everything looked good. Baby's heart rate is at 150,BP is good I just need to make sure I drink lots of water each day. Have to get blood work and sugar test done in about three weeks. So I need to see if I can have the test done on a weekend instead of during the week.
I didn't get the chance to post yesturday because we had a really long day. We had another ultrasound done in the city. My blood levels from my last genetics test was elevated for Spina bifida, and they wanted to do another anatomy scan to double check and make sure baby doesn't not have it. Praise the lord she is free and clear, growing right on track with her dates, has a strong heart beat, and weighs 1lbs 14oz. I was so relieved to get the good news, and now we have one more genetic test to pass for Cistic Fibrosis via a sweat test, but the test will not be done until she is born. We have another ultrasound in 6 weeks for a growth scan to determine whether or not I will be a good candidate to do a VBAC. At this moment I am not a good candidate but they also stated that it is to early to tell. FX things will change.
Sorry for late post, a lot going on here. Had my monthly and follow up appointment Monday. I had an episode the Thursday before where I almost passed out. I had to go in for blood tests and glucose test the next day. Good news I passed the GD test and all blood tests looked normal. Yeah!! For a person who has PCOS not having GD is even more exciting! Yeah!!
Dr. Thinks my episode had something to do with the way I sitting and cutting off blood circulation to my heart or a heart condition or being dehydrated. Based on all other tests and that it hasn't happened since she thinks it was a blood pressure issue and I need to make sure I am staying hydrated and not sit for more than an hour without getting up and moving around. If it happens again, I have to go and get an echocardiogram ASAP. I have also started BH contractions and she is watching me for that too now that I had this episode. On a lighter note, my doctor told me I need to gain at least another 14lbs by delivery. Whose dr ever told them they needed to gain more weight?! Bring on the hot fudge sundae's .
Re: Monday Appointments
I'm home from my GTT test now and should find out the results tomorrow or Wednesday.
