City Mini double -do I need car seat adapter?

I was thinking I could get around needing a double stroller. DS will be 3 when DD arrives. However, it will be summer, and I know I will want to take walks for exercise and for my sanity.

I can't find a Chicco adapter for the City Mini double used anywhere and I really don't want to invest $80+ in the adapter that I will use for a few months. Does anyone have one to sell, or know of a good website? I've checked Craigslist and Ebay. Can I put an infant in the stroller without it?

I'm planning to get this for my Graco Snugride and City Mini GT. Reviewers say it works well with above stroller and car seat combo. If I find it's not working well I will consider sinking the $60 for the adaptor.

That's what I did with my double. Honestly I baby wore a lot early on or just used the SnG and had my toddler walk for short trips.

I didn't get one with my second because I couldn't find it used and just stuck her in the stroller with the snuzzer. It worked great. For my third, I did end up finding the adaptor and I liked it, especially with two other kids to wrangle, it was nice to just pop the car seat into the adaptor.

We didn't do the adaptor- just the snuzzler. I have a snap n go that I love for quick trips but for big outings that require the double, I don't really need the car seat.

We have a city mini GT and I actually called the company to inquire. They said that you can put an infant in the stroller on a full recline as long as the baby's neck and head are really supported. I didn't try it because for some reason it made me nervous. But looking back I would have! The car seat adapter is great because you can transport easily if baby falls asleep and you don't have to worry about head support etc. I would go into a babies r us or a buy buy baby or a local baby store and ask about the adapter. I know that there is currently no adapter for the graco click connect. But I think the Chicco should work with the adapter on baby joggers site. You can also call the company and ask before you purchase. Customer service was great and very easy to get a hold of an actual person.
