This is a weekly thread for runners who are due June 2014, that is posted on Mondays. All who run--or who want to start running--are welcome, regardless of mileage, pace, ability, size, shape, or terrestrial status. This is a place to talk about running while pregnant, training, runs, races, gear, recovery, nutrition, and whatever else we can think of.
Anyone who posts here regularly should feel free to start the thread on Mondays if it seems to be missing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ How were your runs this week? Lay it on us...GTKY: Does your spouse/SO ever run with you?

GTKY: Does your spouse/SO ever run with you? DH & I like to spend part of "date days" going for a run on a park trail. We don't run at the same pace but tend to finish around the same time (speed vs endurance). We have raced together a few times, which was so much fun! However, with the kiddos at home is very hard to plan runs together.
Mon- 30 min strength
Tues- 45 min cardio
Wed- 45 min cardio
Thurs- 30 min strength
Fri- 45 min cardio
This weekend became crazy so I didn't do anything besides walk to the dog on Sat/Sun.
I've run with my husband a few times, but he is much faster than me so running with him is not all that much fun because he pushes me (which is fine) but he expects me to talk at the same time. He did run my 5k PR race with me though. I definitely wouldn't have PR'd if he didn't run with me. I really like running alone though - it's my time to crank up my music and think or not think.
i went for a 4.5 mile run yesterday which was the farthest i have run in a looooooong time! i had to take a bathroom break half-way through, but i finished! i feel sore today so i will go to a prenatal yoga class to help with recovery.
GTKY: Does your spouse/SO ever run with you?
Gtky: I started running because DH ran. He lost 80 lbs before we met, and although I hate running I wanted to try a 5k. Now I'm hooked! We don't run together much anymore because I have to go so slow, but he pushes me, and I run faster and feel less tired with him.
Proud of you ladies!
GTKY: Does your spouse/SO ever run with you? Not really. I'm a bit too chatty for his taste, haha! But we race together and sometimes he'll have me help pace him because he typically goes out of the gate too fast and has a hard time reining it in during the first half of a race. I'm going to try to get him to do a half marathon with me this November.
@lola4411 Thanks! It was slow, but I felt good afterwards aside from some mild soreness in my hips the next day. Hoping this keeps up for a little while longer!
