Birth to Three

I just filled out the online form to have DS evaluated for his speech delay. Has anyone had any experience with them?

    no direct experience but I have a friend and a sister who have used them. And my friend used it for her son's speech delay as well. He's doing great now so they definitely had success. good luck.

    Starting ALL over with a fresh IVF cycle

    Stims start 11/28/14, ER December 10th, 13 eggs retrieved, 11 mature, only 4 fertilized 

    1 Blast Transferred on December 15th..... Beta Christmas Eve... Please Santa, bring me a baby!

    Beta #1 345.....Beta #2....750/ First U/S 1/13/15/HB 131....EDD 9/2/2015

    Thanks for responding. I'm glad your friend's son is doing better. They called me back this morning and asked me a bunch of questions. She said someone will call me within the week to schedule an evaluation.

    No problem! Good luck. We may wind up needing them as well if DD doesn't decide to become mobile in the near future :/

    I'm an SLP, although not currently working with the B-3 population. They will have Qs for you, and will do some play-based activities. Likely they will suggest some activities you can do, or tips for helping him get talking, right then and there. They'll have more to say after they think it over and write a report. It's great to look into promoting speech while they're so little to get the ball rolling! I've had very positive experiences working with the little ones and it makes your heart sing when they start using more words. Best of luck!

    Thanks @nicolinab‌! They are coming Friday and of course DS started busting out words like crazy yesterday. I guess that's usually the way things work lol.

    I am still going to have them come though because it is very obvious there is a delay (he still won't call me mommy or even shake his head yes if you ask him something) and like you said, maybe they can suggest something I can do to help him along.
