Don't force yourself to gulp a lot down at once. Get a big water bottle or glass that you can keep full and sip on it all throughout the day. You need to drink it! GL.
I drink a lot more water when I use a water bottle instead of a glass - find myself sipping without thinking about it and before I know it I'm refilling.
I always keep a bottle on my nightstand so when I wake up in the middle of the night I take several big gulps. When I wake up in the morning or from a nap, I drink a bunch too so that way when the nauseated feeling kicks in, I'm already laying down and can try to relax.
I am so happy that I am not alone on this issue. I can't stand drinking water. I know for a fact that I don't nearly drink the amount of water I need to for this pregnancy. I see someone mentioned Crystal Light packets...that still counts as water??? I could handle that )
I recently bought a CamelBak water bottle from Dicks to take to work so I drink there too. I ended up liking it so much I use it just sitting around in the house too. I like just sipping out of the straw because then I'm not taking big gulps of the water. It seems that I get more down that way.
i spoke to an advice nurse yesterday because i was feeling really crummy/headache and wanted to know if i can take tylenol.
she, of course, was being very "motherly" and asking all kinds of questions "are you doing this? how about that? make sure you do this," etc etc. well apparently i had been drinking too much water and not enough other sugary stuff (gatorade, apple juice, etc) so she said that basically i flushed out all of the electrolytes i had and that's why i felt crappy.
so make sure you are drinking more than just water, ladies!

Me too but I discovered that add a little bit of lemon juice to it is fantastic for quenching thirst and offsetting nausea.
?I also mix in Ribena with it and occasionally some orange/grapefruit juice with water but I prefer to add that to soda water.?
I used to drink tons of water before I got pregnant, but now I have a hard time. I find adding lemon slices to my water helps a lot.
i don't like drinking this much water either.
