Re: ~Plus Size Check In~
9 weeks today!
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom?
Im happy that im nauseated but not throwing up. I havent thrown up once yet and ill take that vs my last pregnancy where I threw up for the first 4 months!
3) any doctor appointments yet or up coming?
This Wednesday im going to the Dr for my first appointment.
4) what is something that you're excited about?
I cant wait to find out what this baby is. I love being able to call them by name.
5) what is something you're worried about?
Telling friends and family. For the most part, the family we have told is SO excited. But we've had some negative reactions from friends that make me want to put it off longer
1) how far along are you? Not quite 9 weeks. I think 8w5d but I can't see my ticker.
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? No favorites yet, other than my boobs looking bigger. I hate feeling run over and nauseous.
3) any doctor appointments yet or up coming? I have had 2 appointments and consultation in the hospital. We have an ultrasound tomorrow and I'm super anxious. We measured small last time. DH is confident and my OB wasn't concerned, but you know how that goes.
4) what is something that you're excited about? Snuggling in bed after church.
5) what is something you're worried about? See #3 above. Also I have not been watching my food in the past few weeks... I'm terrified of gaining my weight back, so I need to get a handle on that.

1) I'm 10w2d
2) fave sx is just being pregnant. I don't really have a fave sx, but I love the whole thing. Least fave sx is GI related. Sometimes the constipation cramps mimic menstrual cramping and it scares me, but no bleeding and I have massive bowel sounds, so there's that.
3) had an appt at my OB on Friday to have blood drawn for the non invasive DNA screening and attempt to hear the HB but couldn't hear it yet. Going back on Thursday to try again. If not, he'll do an US. Yessssssss!!!
4) I'm excited to know the sex in three weeks and to know that there are no chromosomal abnormalities.
5) I'm worried about "what if there are chromosomal abnormalities?" And also about my body being hospitable for the entire pregnancy.

Our miracle, Jane Lauren, born 9/14/14, 5lbs, 5oz, 19" long.
1) 6 w5d today!!
2) I'd have to say my favorite symptom is the fatigue. DH has been cooking and cleanin so I can sit with my feet up and nap! But the breast soreness is my least favorite
3) I went to ob two weeks ago for dating scan and go again this Wednesday to hear the heartbeat!!
4) even though it's a while off in excited about finding out the sex of the baby!! And to feel this baby kick!! And to show!! Just everything!!
5) I'm worried about absolutely. Everything. Making sure I grow a healthy baby. Hoping for an easy transition from having one child to having two... (Almost 9 years apart)...
1). 9 weeks and 4 days
2). Not sure if I have a favorite symptom yet. Least favorite is definitely the aversion to chocolate.
3). Liver specialist on Tuesday (GI doc wants a second opinion about treatment during pregnancy). First OB appointment is on Thursday.
4). I am most excited about finally being pregnant.
5). The upcoming free fetal DNA test. Once we get through that and get good results, I will feel much better. Also, on a nonmedical related note, finding good maternity work clothes that dont't coat $100 per piece.
Married 10/06
Baby Girl "C" arrived on 10/07/14 (39 weeks, 6 days)
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? Nausea, for sure. Not wanting to eat anything, but at the same time knowing that eating something makes me feel better. Who's idea of a sick (literally!) joke is that!?
3) any doctor appointments yet or up coming? First one was last Friday and we heard a heartbeat! Another huge milestone as our first us last time showed no hb and that was our first indication of trouble. (But for other mommies, that could just mean you're earlier than you thought! I don't want to scare anyone!)
4) what is something that you're excited about? Buying a house! I know, pretty unrelated, lol, but we just put an offer on our dream home yesterday and are playing the terrible, nervous, waiting game today. I keep imagining coming home from the hospital with baby to that gorgeous home and I tear up! Fingers and toes crossed!
5) what is something you're worried about? Gestational diabetes. A couple years ago a doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. I worked hard last year and lost 20 lbs and was doing really good, but now I'm worried I'll gain it all back and end up with GB.
I have a daughter. She will be nine in November!! I was only 15 when she was born...so I don't remember ever not being a mom!!
I have a two year old niece and a three month old nephew who my daughter mothers, it's adorable. She has wanted to be a big sister for SO long now. But she's very much so an only child... She understands that a new baby means big changes. I'm just worried that somehow DH and I will cause resentment somehow :-(
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? I hate feeling like I've been runover by a train. Makes me feel so bad for my boys that I can't play with them as much
3) any doctor appointments yet or up coming? Not until the end of the month. Had my appt last Thursday with an u/s and everything looked great!
4) what is something that you're excited about? Honestly, just having another baby
5) what is something you're worried about? I just want to make it through the first tri. I had a loss at 11w3d and I desperately want to get past that point.
1) how far along are you?
9wks today!
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? Nausea
3) any doctor appointments yet or up coming? had my 1st appt 2wks ago, first ultrasound is Thursday!
4) what is something that you're excited about? my first ultrasound and finding out the gender
5) what is something you're worried about? everything lol I'm a first timer and overthinking everything
Good luck everyone!

I was 320 when I got pregnant and was 365 when DS was delivered. I did lose 25lbs overnight afterwards though.
There are many factors.
Maintaining a healthy diet is the first key. Water retention is another.
Consult your OB for dietary goals and then track to follow them. My Fitness Pal is a free app that you can use to do that.

Lane Bryant and Avenue were essential - I bought a size or two up with DS. They go up to size 30/32 (which I used with DS).
Check to see if you have consignment sales such as Just Between Friends and Duck Duck Goose in your area.
Also I was able to get a few things from diaper swappers and ebay online. These weren't as awesome of a deal as the above mentioned options.

2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? constant nausea!!!
3) any doctor appointments yet or up coming? first appointment on Monday 17th
4) what is something that you're excited about? finding out if we have 3 boys or a little princess
5) what is something you're worried about? worried about GD and weight gain
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? I have no favorites. The worst is constant nausea and frequent vomiting. I lost 4 pounds this weekend. It sucked.
3) any doctor appointments yet or coming up? Just went back this past Friday to check on spotting and things are ok. My next appt. is the 24th and then I go the 27th for the NT test
4) what is something that you're excited about? I'm so excited to tell DD. she just turned 4 and has been asking for a baby brother. I'm hoping to hold out until we find out the sex, which should be the week after Easter.
5) what is something you're worried about? Developing pre-e again and I'm nervous to take the glucose screening at my next appointment. My dr. has all patients over 180lbs take it during 1st tri as well as later. I think I'm more nervous that I'll just throw it up and have to keep trying to keep it down.
2) what is your favorite/least favorite symptom? No favorites at all. It all stinks right now. Least favorite has been the nausea, but that's finally starting to abate.
3) any doctor appointments yet or coming up? This morning! Baby's HR was 168 (fx that means its a girl), everything looks great, and I had the blood drawn for the MaterniT21 test, so I should know if this is a boy or a girl by the end of next week! I also have my NT scan next Wednesday.
4) what is something that you're excited about? As crazy as it sounds, I'm looking forward to having a big pregnant belly. When I was pregnant with DD was one of the only times I've truly felt comfortable with my body, and I think that was because I wasn't so self-conscious about my belly fat for a change.
5) what is something you're worried about? GD. With DD the doctors thought I developed it at the end, so now I'm really nervous about it this time. I talked to my dr this morning and she's not concerned enough to test me early, so we'll see at 27 weeks, I guess. In the mean time, I know I should reduce my carb intake, but it's just so hard! I love sandwiches on big delicious rolls. And bagels. And all the fruit.
