Somewhere, maybe in the playdate thread? I mentioned that I was going to make some signs that could be hung on the door letting visiting folks know to wash hands. Several of you said you'd like a copy. The two options are on Flickr; you're free to print as you like, but please don't share, sell, distribute as your own.

Re: Printable: Signs asking visitors to wash hands
No one is going crazy. This is a piece of paper that will be on a door so that I don't have to ask any folks that forget, like my family who aren't the most mindful.
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.

Omg I need a sign that says that and "if you make my dogs bark and wake up the baby I will punch you in the neck"
Have to ask some people who seem to "miss the sign". I think hand sanitizer is an easier method to enforce but with all this hype about soap/antibacterial not working who knows what is better?!
For me personally, the vast majority of my friends don't have children and don't have the first clue about appropriate hygeine before holding a baby. My best friend has two dogs that she lets slobber all over her constantly and I rarely see her wash her hands after touching them so I most definitely would have a sign like this up for people like that who plan to visit my home when baby is still little. In the original post about these (it was a while ago, I forget the title) I also mentioned my ILs who have terrible hygeine in general but most importantly, are both heavy smokers and are not the types to even try to do anything to rid themselves of the cigarette smell/residue before touching or holding the baby. In fact, they would probably not even notice or think of it and would happily grab the baby out of my arms with a lit cigarette hanging out of their mouth. So these signs will come in very handy for me on a number of levels!
Thanks, @wtfisup!
I'd love that lol.
But DH and I became germaphobes after DS was born (more DH than me really.). I'm sure it'll be in overdrive once DD is born. Especially with my FIL. He can be pretty gross and complained when we asked him to sanitize his hands when DS was born.
