venting- woke up on wrong side of bed, lol

I just need to vent unload, please ignore sorry and yes I did wake up on the wrong side of the bed LOL

3 things I HATE today.

IF one more BLEEPING person asks me in their annoying whiny voice "how are you feeling" I am going to scream
IF one more BLEEPING person tries to say hello and touch my belly I AM GOING TO SCREAM keep you hands off of me!
If one more BLEEPING person actually asks me "so are you excited" I AM GOING TO SCREAM actually this one infuriates me I mean how do you even ask this and what kind of response are you looking for???

  • So sick of the 'how are you feeling?' as well. Get asked by coworkers everyday. I know they mean well but it gets old. I am not the type to ever say if I am feeling like crap regardless of if I am or not so I just say 'feeling just fine!'. Hope your day improves ;)

  • Don't worry, this will turn into "didn't you have that baby yet!?" in another month or two.

I wish I could be rude IRL instead of just in my head. When I start to get asked this, my sarcasm mode will want to kick in full force.

Reply with a blank stare, "Huh, I thought I left something at home."

  • I tell people no when they ask if I'm excited, they don't usually push the matter plus their stunned faces are priceless. I manage to say no with a straight face too which makes it ten times better. As for the touching, I have mastered a I will kill you face when someone attempts to touch my belly. And when asked how I'm feeling, I tell them every little pain and headache I have had, most people don't ask again after hearing me ramble. The only people allowed to ask how I'm feeling are DH, my mom, SIL, and SMIL.

  • I had someone ask me the other day, "isn't it an unwritten rule that pregnant women shouldn't wear horizontally striped shirts? They just make your stomach look huge!" as I was wearing a striped shirt. I about throat punched her! Then I suggested she start looking to find me some maternity shirts that aren't a solid color or striped, because that's all I can find. People are just so ignorant when it comes to pregnant woman.
  • Ha ha ha!  Totally agree about the "how are you feeling?"  If one more person compares their slight morning sickness for 2-3 weeks to my 12+ weeks of horrible all-day sickness, I will scream.  Especially if they were pregnant 20+ years ago...eye roll!  I do feel a little better now, but that doesn't mean I feel stellar, I'm just finally maintaining my weight after losing 20 lbs and don't dry heave all day and night.  This isn't a competition by any means, but literally everyone says "I know how you feel" and for some reason that makes me feel worse instead of better.  I wouldn't compare my amount of sickness to someone who had hyperemesis.

Also, I can't stand pregnancy advice from people who haven't had children in a million years (unless it's my Grandma because she's almost 90 and adorable).  My step-MIL (who hasn't had children in 35+ years) was talking to me about my 20-week appointment and said, "You should get to hear the baby's heartbeat this appointment!!!"  First of all, "duh!" and second, I've heard/seen it since my first appointment at 6 weeks.  I have perfected the smile and nod!

I just re-read what I wrote and it sounds super bitchy...sorry all, in a dramatic mood today apparently!

I'm so using these responses next time!! The how are you feeling response had me laughing out loud. I seriously get asked that question EVERY TIME someone sees me. Wtf?!?! I can't wait to describe every single little intricacy of how I'm feeling next time I'm asked *insert evil laugh here*.
