Any have or has had spd and/or hip and pelvic issues have a pelvic support belt they can recommend? I have been trying to just deal with it but she's only going to grow and is going straight out so that means more pressure and imbalance so is like to get some more support.

  • Slightly different but related, I was having lower back and sciatica pain from my pelvis being weighed and pulled forward and got one from Amazon, I think the brand is Gabrialla? I also saw that they sell it at target for around $35.
It works well, kinda pulls my hips in-line with my legs how they're *supposed* to be and it took most of the strain out of my lower back. I wore it for 2-3 days during the day only and now I just wear it if I notice I'm getting strained or if I'm going to be standing for a long time. I'd recommend it, but definitely pay attention to the sizing! I was like a size 4/6 pre pregnancy and the XL fits me well.

  • I've just started going to my chiropractor for pelvic pain and he told me it's because the relaxin has cause my pelvic bones to rotate and that's why I'm in so much pain. I'm now on an agressive plan to get it adjusted and it's helping a bunch. He said the belt would have been useless. Worth checking out if you have a reputable chiro in your area.

If love to try a chiropractor but I am on pregnancy Medicaid so pretty sure they aren't covered and I don't have the out of pocket money for it. My ob (who are always different and all residents at my clinic- yay Medicaid) just told me basic abb/adductor exercises and that I would just have to deal until I gave birth. It was incited by a work injury in my groin that they think is causing an abnormal pull on my pubic bone this spd- so my hope is if I can take some weight off my pubic bone and groin then maybe it will relieve the pain especially the progressive pain from walking and standing.

Me too. My husband was going to call around on Monday to see if it is covered but I doubt it. I have scoliosis and used to get physical therapy for my back. I could seriously benefit from a chiropractor right now... I'm going to try a belly support belt but my upper back has been hurting even before I get my day started

    It's a BOY

  • I have psd this pregnancy and the belt has proven useless. I plan to talk to my dr again this week to see if there are any other suggestions.

  • I have SPD.  I purchase the New Serola SI Belt from Amazon. It has helped me a ton.  It helps holds everything together. I also went to physical therapy for a few months which taught me to how to be more conscious of how I move as not to aggravate them.  I also learned what I can do to get them back in alignment.  HTH!
