Are anyone's LOs still sleeping in the RnP? DS has slept in his beside our bed since the day he came home. He did sleep in a crib while he was hospitalized, but only with a "nest" of rolled blankets around him.
At his last pedi appt (@ 5 months) the Dr said he needed to be in his crib. Crib in nursery isn't an option for us currently as we are rooming-in for a variety of reasons. The Dr (who I'm not a fan of and has given bad advice before, but we only have 1 pedi practice and you don't get to choose which Dr. you see) said he "needed to be in a crib no later than 2 months because he needs room to roll around".
So anyway, last night we tried the PnP. It was an epic fail - no stretch of sleep longer than 5 or 10 min. I finally co-slept which is a bad habit I don't want to start. Co-sleeping just isn't a good option for us.
So, few questions:
1. Is it really time to transition out of RnP?
2. If so, any tips for transition?
3. Safe to do a "nest" of rolled blankets?
HELP!

I honestly don't think there are any tricks to transition, just be consistent and be prepared for a few rough nights.
Also, if you do a search, you'll find more threads on this issue.

I plan in keeping her here until 6 mo. (Which is less than a month away), but we'll see... I think she would sleep good in her own room without us tip-toeing around her at night & in the morning, but I will miss her being close by
First full Night in the crib I was up 8 or so times but I was hell bent on making it work. Last night was our best night so far. I have him sleep in a fleecey sleep sack, I bought a crib sheet that is the same fleecey/ minky material as the RNP. For whatever reason if I put him in the crib on his side he will fall asleep then roll to his back and continue sleeping.
Good luck!
