Pumping for a missed feed question

I left LO for the 1st time last night. I left pumped milk for her in two, 3 oz bottles. She had them in 2 separate feedings, one about 7 pm, the other about 9. While out, I pumped once. I used my double electric pump to pump both sides. Since baby usually nurses on one side at a time, am I correct in pumping once, but both sides to cover the 2 missed feelings ? Or should I have pumped twice?

    I think it sounds fine. You usually would have emptied both breasts in that time if she was nursing; you emptied both with the pump.
