Joovy Twin Roo vs. Baby Trend Twin Stroller

We are looking to purchase a simple snap-n-go stroller for our upcoming twins. We want this stroller to do well with a car seat. We have a Baby Trend Car Seat and  Chicco Key Fit Car seat.

I have spent hours researching both, reading reviews, etc. I can't seem to make a decision. Joovy has them face opposite directions, but has much better reviews.

Wondering if anyone on here can give us some insight. They are only about a difference of $25 in cost

Below is the link to each of them

  • I'm not sure if the Joovy fits the baby trend car seat. It was also surprising to us that depending on what brand of car seats you use, they have to face different directions. Ie for the chicco the seat near you faces left and the one away faces right... but if you use the graco the one near faces right and the one far away faces left. DH and I are wondering if we had a chicco and a graco would we face them the same way... or would that combination be unbalanced and thus unsafe? And now I probably just made you have more questions. Sorry! Maybe someone else will know the answers...
  • I am probably going to get the baby trend one, because I don't like the idea of the babies facing out either side.  Not sure about the joovy, but the baby trend will also work with any car seat.

  • I have the joovy and I love love love it. However, idk if it's compatible w baby trend - I think only Chicco, Graco and peg. I also don't know if you have a Chicco and a Graco if you'd actually have to face them the same way or if you need two of the same brand.

    Regardless, I highly recommend.

  • Getting the joovy, love that it actually snaps
  • We are likely getting the Joovy because we liked that it actually snapped in place and liked that the babies can face to the sides. I do not, however, think the Joovy will accommodate a Baby Trend car seat.

  • I have the joovy and so far like it a lot. My car seats wouldn't fit on the other one which is why I got this one and I am happy with it.

I researched this and Chicco Keyfits do not actually snap into a snap-n-go, but they do in the Joovy Roo, so we are going with that one.

  • I got the Joovy & Chicco car seats. The Chicco seats do not require the extra bars as you would need with other brand car seats - and as others mentioned I do not think you can use baby trend. And as stayed the seats simply snap right into the stroller frame. I found it so simple to use.
  • I agree with the Joovy. We have it and love it. But, we have two Graco carseats. Yu may be destined to have to get the Baby Trend Snap n Go (although they don't snap, they strap).

Sorry my search function sucks. But I posted a YouTube video a few weeks ago that compared the two. If you can, try to search that out here. It was really really helpful to get the visual and see how the seats fit into both, among other things.

We ended up getting the Baby Trend because of the limitations on the seats with the Joovy. We were also able to go to our local BRU who had them set up and test them out. Again, the seat limitation was an issue there too.

Haven't had a chance to test it out so I can't speak to it from personal experience.

  • I have the Joovy for my twins and LOVE it! It's very easy to get in and out of our vehicles bc it's very light. It's very easy to snap together and collapse when finished using. We are also using Chicco car seats. I did a bunch of research as well before we settled on these car seats and stroller and what I like the most is the car seats click in, I most definitely did not like the idea of a strap to hold their seats on.

  • Our joovy just came in the mail yesterday and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It was so easy to assemble and our chicco keyfit 30 magics snapped right into place. Also loved the lower placement of the parent tray with 4 cup holders. Some strollers have those placed teetering above the bab
