Nervous about tomorrow's appt.

I have been having some issues the past couple of weeks and was told over the phone to take it easy for a few days. I did as ordered and felt better. But now I am having more symptoms and am worried they may be signs of pre term labor. I'm hoping my doctor will help me to feel better tomorrow. I am 23 weeks and 4 days and am having pelvic bone pain, back pain, vaginal swelling and added discharge. Anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Nervous about tomorrow's appt.

  • Those all seem like normal pregnancy symptoms to me so I would not fret (easier said than done, I know.) The vaginal swelling could be a sign of a yeasty beasty so ask them to swab you when you go for your visit. :)

  • If it concerns you now, call your doc and review it with them. If they don't send you to the hospital, take their advice and you will be able to review it again tomorrow in person.

I hope it's just normal pregnancy symptoms and nothing major or PTL.
  • If you're not having any contractions/bleeding I wouldn't worry. Sorry you're stressed out though, hopefully tomorrow's appt makes you feel better

  • I've had a ton of pelvic bone pain the last couple of weeks, and lots of extra discharge. It's a sign we're getting close to the 3rd trimester :-) I also am having back pain (and getting lots of massages from H). I hope rest helps you feel better and your doctor can help relieve some of your fears!

  • Sounds pretty normal to me.
  • Google "pelvic girdle pain". Some of the joints inVolved are right at the pubic bone and on either side of the base of the spine. Getting some good physical therapy and chiropractic could can make you feel a lot better and keep things from getting worse before delivery.

  • I agree with everyone else. Those sound like completely normal symptoms to me. I too am suffering from pubic bone pain, a swollen vagina, and increased discharge. Trust your doctor. Good luck!
  • I have also had all of the above for at least the past 10 weeks. Not fun, but normal (from what I understand)

  • Internet hug! I agree with the others; ptl is serious. I think if they thought that you had it, they wouldn't ask you to wait a few days. Maybe look at it this way; tomorrow, you'll get some answers, and things you can do to feel better.

Yeasty beasty made me giggle and vom at the same time.

OP: I agree with the others, sounds like normal pregnancy pain. If your doctor was truly concerned they'd have you go to l&d.
